Denzel hangs from the top of the cage then kicks it while growling at the man that pushed his containment into position of the arena
"He seems off the rails more than usual, no?"

"Course not, he's always like that"
Another says as he kicks the cage to fully get it locked in place
"This fight will be interesting, parently these two were captured together"

Upon hearing that, Denzel's head shot over to the two men, instantly dropping the act of him being in that savage state, getting comfortable in eaves dropping on their conversation.

"You think they'll recognize each other?"

"Not likely, I've seen brother bears kill each other, this drug they put in em is some nasty stuff"

"Ya know....besides the spectacle, You know why we're doin this?"

"They've been doin this since you were bout knee high to a grasshopper son, they just started going commercial so they can fund the experiment"

"The hell is it for?"

"I don't read much but from what I heard-I reckon it's gonna be alternative sentencing... oppose to hanging"

"The law now is growing more twisted by the year..."
The younger thug looks towards the cage and sees Denzel subtly glaring in their direction and clumsily giving away his state of mind.

"Hey partner....the hell you looking at?"
The young coyote barked

Which startled Denzel, never has he been barked at like that by a canine but stood his ground and bared his own set of teeth...which in itself is odd behavior for him since he was much more aggressive under the influence of the drug.

"I don't care what anybody says, this little bastard don't look so tough"
The canine babbled as he takes his revolver out and takes aim at Denzel- who grunts in annoyance

"Sure you're so tough with that iron boy but you wanna get in there and show em what your fist do?"
The Buffalo shares a laugh with himself while the coyote rambles with excuses as to why that wasn't gonna happen.

Eventually the pair walk off, completely oblivious to the seemingly odd behavior that Denzel displayed.

Chapter 16
"Edge of the Wild"
December 20th 1908

The air was repulsive, like the smell of rotten meat and dirt dried blood. The smell of alcohol in the air was also potent like cobra venom, undoubtedly the time of the fight has neared as Denzel watches the crowed approach the circular metal arena from the safety of the high ground. Looking down at the horrid smelling dirt floor and watched as the cage doors slowly open.

Denzel felt his heart skip a beat...he wasn't quite anxious to get out there and fight to the death but he put faith in Mitch....however the antidote has made it more difficult for Denzel to tap into that aggression that kept him alive in these fights but it also gave him a chance to see his brother again.

The young chipmunk crawls up underneath the gate that hadn't fully opened, staying right outside his cage as he knows he couldn't go further till they unlocked his collar-the heavy chains that were connected to it began clinking against the top of the half opened cage as Denzel stood on hind legs.

Suddenly the snarls and growls with a familiar tone to em can be heard, unfamiliar in execution but no doubt due to these bastards and their experimental tendencies.

The air grew heavy as he sees a frantic feline crawl out from under the slow moving gate, immediately charging at Denzel but being pulled back by his collar.
