The day at the saloon was everlasting and grueling, it opened Vincent's eyes to what a REAL job felt like...he's worked before but he was mostly choosing his own times to work-now on payroll, he didn't have the luxury of that anymore. It's been at least seven to eight hours since he came into the saloon and he still had another two to go, not like he couldn't just take a break though..he was in fact offered one but he figured he'd stick it through till the end without one just to impress his boss. Calico, the feline he met earlier, came in for a few drinks and even entertained the new bartender with a bit of a rowdy conversation- quite a character he is. The saloon grows quiet as people start to leave but just as he thinks he can take a moment to clear tables- another person walks in; wearing a dirty brown long sleeved collard shirt and muddy black rancher boots with ripped navy blue jeans- his body was slouching as he dragged himself over to the bar and plopped himself down on the chair in front of Vincent, his tired eyes peeked through his long yellow messy-yet long hair...or quills...always get that mixed up with hedgehogs, the little ray of sunshine spoke in a groggy tone
"Two whiskeys...please"

Chapter 3:
Dangerously Infatuated

Denzel held his revolver at hip level and tried shooting the five bottles that he had Mikah set up some time earlier-only hittin' three out of the five.

"Your jerkin yer arm too much"
Mikah said as he picked his head up from where he sat, which was on the ground, laying up against the back of the house. The two had been lingering around in the back yard since they already spent a great deal of their time inside and the air wasn't getting any cooler in that busted up cabin.

"This dusted old pipe wouldn't fire right if my life depended on it"
Denzel spouted in the same relaxed tone but Mikah still huffed quietly
"Or you just ain't as good as you thought, partner~"

Denzel glared at the other
"Shuddup Mikah"
The two shared a short humorous laugh before the chipmunk opens the chamber of his revolver, reloading one bullet.

"You're in fact a hell of a artistic stylist with your shots"
Mikah chef kisses his fingers and only earns an eye roll from the rodent
"Yeah whatever, let's see how you fair"

"Do you ever let your guard down and take a compliment?"
The feline asked with a raised brow

Denzel huffs then struts over then nearly plopping to a seated position on the ground, handing the feline the revolver.
"No I don't, normally. Do you have those three bullets I gave ya?"

Mikah reaches into his pocket to grab the bullets and takes the revolver to reload it
"Least you're honest"
Mikah's maroon colored eyes stared into Denzel's, curious, the rodent seemed confused as to why he was being stared at and wasn't prepared for the question the feline had for him
"How did your eyes end up like that?"

Denzel instinctively closed his left eye- forgetting that it existed till the feline mentioned it
"It's a birth defect...."

"Quite an interesting looking birth defect"
Mikah could see that the other wasn't very confident bout his eye and wondered why..perhaps he was made fun of as a kid.

Denzel's eye opened up again as he hears the compliment...finding this one to soothe him more than the previous one
"Thanks...you Uh..wanna head into town for a moment?"

Mikah gave a tiny smile back, he wasn't exactly wanting to leave right now but he was certainly not gonna let Denzel walk alone
"Why?"
