I smelt the humid morning air of the MidWest.

I stood on the bridge with my mom and Olive on either side of me, each of us holding a coffee in our hands.

The sun was just starting to rise, the colors illuminating the sky over the pond, creating a heavenly feeling of contentment spread through out my body.

I think I wanted to watch the sunrise every morning.

It was almost six in the morning, the three of us had been up all night trying to get a taste of normalcy again.

I was dressed in Harry's grey sweatshirt with the rip in the hood, a pair of plaid pajama shorts my slippers and a coat. It was starting to get warmer now that the sun was rising.

We had agreed today was going to be another nice warm day which I was excited about, it meant the stars would be out tonight.

"I'll never get tired of this" my mom spoke inhaling the air into her lungs. Olive and I nodded along in agreement.

It was so peaceful.

I took a sip of my coffee watching as the water from the stream flowed into the pond.

I saw a fish slowly being transferred from one pond to the other gliding through the stream before we all watched as that peaceful sight was interrupted by a bird grabbing the fish with it's beak.

The three of us stood on the bridge with a blank face, I took another sip of my coffee before my mom spoke. "Well, I guess we should go home now" she spoke making us nod.

That wasn't the first time this has happened...

When we got home my mom had told Olive and I to go get a few hours of rest before everyone else would start getting up.

Unfortunately I had way too much energy to fall asleep.

I kissed my mom's cheek, telling her I loved her as she hugged me before she went to her room. I leaned my back against the kitchen island, taking a sip of my coffee as I looked out the window.

Now that I was alone, my head wasn't taking it for granted. It started to feel heavy as my thoughts were desperately begging for an entrance. A way to ruin my mood.

But I wasn't going to let it.

Not today.

I shook my head like it would rid the thoughts and snapped myself back into reality.

I realized I was now glaring at the window. My eyes narrowed and my body stiff. My brows were deeply furrowed and my hand was gripping the bottom of Harry's sweatshirt I was wearing.

I took a deep breath realizing I was okay.

Everything was okay.

In the corner of my eye I saw a figure leaning against the doorway my body immediately relaxing. I turned my head, an instant smile finding it's way to my lips. It's been nine hours of us separated in the same house but I missed him... a lot.
