Five months later
I stood in the middle of the kitchen in Harry's and I's finished house.
I stared out the porch window watching Harry attempt to teach Rex how to throw a baseball while he "caught" it in his glove.
All I could hear were their laughs making me smile like an idiot.
Thing's are as normal as they can be.
I stirred the pancake batter making breakfast for them.
When it was finished I called out for them.
"Mom, tell Dad to stop making fun of my throwing skills" Rex demanded.
Oh, yeah, the adoption went through. Rex is officially our son he had chosen to call us Mom and Dad the day of the signing. We had all been emotional that day.
"Mr. Treat People With Kindness is making fun of you?" I asked gasping looking at Harry with a shocked expression Rex cackling. Harry held his hands up in defense, "I'm going to have to replant the neighbors flowers." Harry said making Rex narrow his eyes at him.
"Rex" I laughed at him, "Dad raised his glove way to high" he said defending himself.
I shook my head, a permanent smile on my lips.
When I had done the dishes after breakfast, Harry had helped me.
"I wanna do something spontaneous" I told him.
"Oh yeah? Like what?" He asked.
"I don't know, I already got a tattoo" I said.
I did, I got a tattoo on my wrist in my Mom's hand writing 'xoxo, momma' adding it to the collection of my Olive vine tattoo behind my ankle, and my small Poppy flower behind my ear.
He wrapped his hands around my hips pursing his lips in thought.
"Cherry?" He spoke. "Oh no" I mumbled resting my forehead against his shoulder. "Let's face those fears" he told me.
The fears we had talked about on the night I picked up the guitar again.
Hell no.
I wished I could say that's what happened, but I wouldn't have been standing in a bar a week later if it did.
"You sure you want to ride this thing?" I asked, looking at the big mechanical bull in the middle of a pen.
"Their won't be a story to tell if I don't" he said, "Have at it!" I said making him laugh.
"I love you" I told him kissing him smiling. "I love you too" he said before climbing over the ring. "Break a leg!" I said then cringing. "Don't do that!" I said making him laugh again.
Everyone was in L.A for a long weekend.
"This is great" Olive said laughing as Harry spoke with the person controlling the bull.
He got on straddling the saddle, what happened next made me almost pee my pants.
I watched as Harry put on the cowboy hat I got him, nodding his head at me before he was being flung around.
I really tried not to laugh but this was to good to be true.
Harry was holding on for dear life.
"I hate physical activity!" He yelled out, being heard throughout the whole bar everyone laughing in return.
"That's a lie!" I yelled back. "I know!" He said my head shaking a laugh passing my lips.
He lasted a solid forty-five seconds before he was flung onto the giant mat. I clapped my hands everyone cheering for him.
