Things have been going better than expected since Rogan and I had gotten together. My nightmares even subsided and I can't explain as to how or why but I'm not complaining neither. Maybe being in his arms made me feel so safe that even in my dreams, I was okay.

Today, both Irena and I were trying to make some dinner for the guys tonight and since Rogan was running some errands real fast, Foley had arrived early and after I had realized there were a few more things I forgot to get that went into the dish we were making, he was nice enough to offer to go to the store for us.

Both Irena and him ended up leaving to the store while I finished getting myself ready for tonight and preparing for things.

After I finished the final touches getting myself ready, I was about to head back towards the kitchen to finish chopping up some vegetables when I suddenly started sniffing the air as soon as I smelled smoke.

I know I hadn't left the stove or oven on. Then again, maybe I did. So I quickly started running out into the kitchen to check and immediately was greeted with the entire living room and kitchen being filled with black smoke and flames coming from the front of my door.

The smoke was so thick I couldn't help but cough and try hard to cover my nose and mouth while trying to run out the front door but I couldn't even kick it open.

The windows were already shattered and broken all over the floor. I couldn't see a thing and was losing air, then next thing I knew, everything quickly went dark. I must have blacked out.

                            <<<<<>>>>>

I thought I had died as I start to slowly open up my eyes with a hint of some dryness and a little soreness from the smoke. So I knew I couldn't have been dead.

I sat up abruptly thinking that I had been taken by whomever started the fire and am now in their dungeon or some nasty place where they have kidnapped and taken me to.

When I started looking around though, I right away recognized the decor and could tell I was laying in Rogan's bed, so ease swept over me.

Then once I saw Foley and Irena looking at me while sitting across the room with a worried and concerned look upon their faces, I couldn't help but start to feel worried myself.

However, before I was able to even say anything, the bedroom door bursted open and in walked a worried and out of breath Rogan as he ran to my side onto the bed.

"Baby! Baby are you okay?" He asks while embracing me in a tight hug.

"I'm fine." I tell him.

"What happened?! Who the hell did this to you?" He asked looking both sad and pissed off.

"I-I don't know. I was finishing getting ready and then the next thing I knew, I walked out towards the kitchen to see if I had left the oven or stove on and that's when I noticed my home was engulfed in flames and smoke. Then I blacked out." I began to say.

When I looked at him, I suddenly broke down and cried into his chest as he held me close and rubbed my arm.

"Did you guys see who it was?" I heard Rogan ask Irena and Foley.

"No. We hadn't been gone for very long at the store when it happened and the moment we saw the cottage on fire...." Irena stopped herself as she started to cry.

"I ran inside as quick as I could." Foley says.

"Thanks man." I noticed Rogan choke a little bit.

"Alpha..." Foley began to say but then was stopped by Rogan.

"Not now. We'll talk in a little bit. Can we have some alone time for a minute?" He asks them.

"Of course." Foley replies and I could still hear Irena sniffling as they left then closed the door behind them.

I waited a few moments and realized I had left a wet spot on his shirt.

"Sorry." I told him through sniffles.

"It's alright. I don't care about that." He assures me.

"I don't have the faintest idea as to who could have done this." I began to tell him before he started asking more questions.

In the back of my head I had a feeling that I knew who it could have been but then maybe he would have not believed me also not to mention how much of a huge accusation it would be and ruin what we have. So I kept my thoughts and 'ideas' in who it could have been, to myself.

Besides, if it even was remotely true and was who I thought it was, why would they go to lengths like that to get me out? Why try and kill me?!?

"Alicyn, look at me." I hear Rogan snap me.out of my thoughts.

"Okay." I replied.

"I swear on my mother's grave that who ever did this, I will make sure they pay. No matter who they are." He tells me with much certainty in his tone of voice and seriousness.

I began wondering if he would still feel the same way if it turned out to be his own kind.  They all defend one another. Then again, he has shown me lately he isn't like others I have known before. Still, it's a bit nerve-wrecking if you ask me in trying to tell him.

We sat there for another hour, almost two, talking some more about what to do and ended up agreeing to have me move in here with him.

I had nothing though. I didn't even have my clothes or herbs......oh shit! All the stuff my friend gave me before she had left town was in the fire along with other stuff I had left of my father and mother....At least I thought that before I was relieved the moment I saw the messenger bag I always had with me and carried all that stuff in by the door, was now sitting beside the bed in front of the night stand next to me.

Thanks Irena!
