"You do realize," Sylvie said, "That if you do this, there's a chance you may lose him forever."
Loki knew that. He also knew that he couldn't live with the thought of keeping Mobius to himself forever, not when Mobius deserved to know the truth.

Spoilers for Loki series season 1 episode 3
Pairing: Loki/Mobius M. Mobius , Loki & Sylvie Laufeydottie
(Anyway, to prevent any confusion, I've started adapting to the AO3 rules, thus "/" means the characters are romantically involved with each other, and "&"means the characters are not romantically involved with each other and their relationships are platonic)

"It's all a lie," Loki said, "And he doesn't know. They don't know," he was in rage, not because the TVA managed to capture him and Sylvie, but because one minute earlier, Mobius came to see them in the room where they were kept, locked in. Loki saw that look of betrayal, of pain in Mobius' eyes, and he was this close, so close to blurting out and telling Mobius everything — the secrets the Time-Keepers kept, the life Mobius must have had before they stole that away from him, locked away his memories and smothered him with selfish lies.
Mobius doesn't know. No one knows.
Loki ended up saying nothing when Mobius walked out the door, leaving him alone with Sylvie again. Because he... couldn't. Mobius wouldn't believe him, not after Loki had betrayed his trust. And if, for some reason, there was still the tiniest bit of trust Mobius had for him, then Loki wouldn't want to put Mobius' life in danger by making him question the Time-Keepers. Not when they didn't stand a chance against them, not now, at least
"They're like the saviors for these people," Sylvie said. "I can see it, the way they all talk about them."
"It's all a lie," Loki repeated. He sat on the floor not too far away from her.
"Didn't say it wasn't."
"We have to do something." He stood up now, walking around like there was a way out of the chamber in which they were put in (there wasn't, and Loki knew that)
"And do what, huh?" Sylvie pointed at the collar around her throat, the one Loki was wearing, too.
"I don't know," Loki sounded almost nervous as he kept pacing back and forth. "I don't know, but this isn't right. They're being lied to. He's being lied to. He believes he was created by these three space lizards. He had a life, Sylvie. A life before all of this, and that was robbed away from him. From everyone here,"
Sylvie looked at Loki from where she remained seated on the floor. For a moment she didn't say anything, almost like she was in thought, then, "You know, I seem to have heard a lot of he's here," she raised her brows at him, earning a confused look from Loki.
"Beg pardon?"
"The he," she repeated, like he was hard of understanding.
"Well, what's about him? He's not the only one being lied to,"
"I know that, you just seem to care deeply... specifically for him,"
"I pity these poor souls that thought they were created by some space lizards —"
"And I didn't say you didn't. I just think he seems pretty special to you."
Loki opened his mouth, then closed it. Then he sat back down next to her, though he was quiet now. And Sylvie knew precisely what this meant, they were... the same person, after all. "I see...." She trailed off, there was the hint of playfulness and mischief in her voice, even though there was nothing playful about the situation they found themselves in.
