"You're shitting me"

"Language" Steve interrupted the conversation from his favorite love seat from across the room. Though y/n was too taken aback to care she pissed off mister United States. Her jaw remained drop. She just couldn't believe Thor would actually do this to her. First, the God of Thunder brought his psycho brother to earth, let the dude stay in their compound and now, he wanted her to watch over him?! Loki?! Had he lost his mind?!

"For God's sake, I am not babysitting him, Thor

"No, actually, for God's sake, you're going to have to. Someone's gotta stay put and make sure Loki wouldn't cause any trouble while we're away" Tony beat Thor up in responding, walking into the room with a mug of coffee in hand, piece of his high technology y/n had no idea what it called in the other. And the poor girl never felt more offended.

Why her?! Oh, part of y/n hated that she already knew the answer without having to ask it out loud. She was the youngest. Wasn't even the full-avenger yet. Just... a little girl who was adored by the team, welcomed to the compound by Tony Stark. That's why she always got the job no one wanted, but again, she couldn't really blame them. Everyone's gotta have their duty. She wasn't well-trained enough - just yet - to go out there fighting for the world with the rest of the team. It would be very shitty, if she were to live there without doing anything. So...

Sighing in defeat, y/n realized she had lost the argument.

"Don't you worry, lady y/n. We won't be long" Thor reassured with a pat on her shoulder, which almost felt like a mean punch for her.

And before she knew it, she found herself alone in the compound with the team out accomplishing the mission... well, alone with the God of Mischief who stayed in the west wing.

After preparing herself, y/n made her way to where the little culprit was. She'd met him before, but never really had any real conversation with the man. Loki seemed to have two completely different sides within him, the first being that mysterious lone wolf who liked to spend time in his room alone, reading. The other being that little annoying piece of shit who fed on other's annoyance where he'd do anything and everything just to get on everyone's nerve.

The first thing y/n saw once she entered the living room was Loki laying on the couch, reading with his feet prompted up on the cushion

"What do we have here" He lowered his book and greeted her with that cheeky smirk.

"Hello to you too, Lowkey" Y/n replied with loud sigh. She wasn't in the mood for this.

"It's Loki" Mister mischief corrected "My brother sent you? Of course, he did" He snickered.

"My job is just to be here and make sure you don't burn down the compound or try to poison our food is all" Y/n flopped down on the couch across from his, her hand reached for a bottle of whiskey and a glass on a table separate both of them, pouring the drink down before bringing it to her mouth. Her brain told her she needed something strong, if she were to deal with him.

Loki just watched in silence, that smirk never left his face. Seconds later, he reached for his own glass, twirling it a little before drinking it down his throat. Something told him being alone with y/n and getting to know her better would be a lot more fun than he thought.

A couple drinks wasn't supposed to go downhill, but Loki somehow managed to talk y/n into accepting his challenge; whoever got the most glasses without getting drunk wins. Not the best idea at all, but oh well.
