Beaten down, wounded and exhausted. Unless he wanted to end up dead, Loki was left no choice but to rid himself of his pride and ask for a help from a Midgardian girl.
Oh he was very frustrated about this.

By the end of the battle, when the bad guys left (because they thought he was dead) Loki slowly crawled his way out of the hole his body imprinted into. The very first second he managed to stand on his feet the sharp pain on his torso brought him down to his knees with a painfully cry and a mouthful of blood he spat out his mouth. Instinctively, his hand reached for where it hurt and his palm was soaked in warm, slippery liquid in no time at all. He didn't have to look down to figure what it was; his blood. "Damn it." Loki cursed between gripped teeth. When his gaze lowered to his stomach, where his hand stayed, he suddenly felt lightheaded when he saw nothing but crimson. Loki knew he was badly injured. He just didn't think it was this bad. Seemed like they really done him a number this time.
Despite how his body was begging him to lay down and close his eyes Loki knew he couldn't sleep, couldn't stay here; in the middle of the woods where the sky was losing daylight fast and predators were coming out, looking for an easy prey such as himself. He needed a shelter.
But where?
Who would take in S.H.I.E.L.D's most wanted?
It was getting dark. He walked and he walked, each step left a trail of blood behind. Ant it was getting harder to stay upright when his legs were ready to give out at any second now.
Three steps later his knees buckled and he fell to the floor. Loki let out a soundless scream as the pain hit. He didn't want to fight it anymore. It was so very tiring. Loki wanted to close his eyes and let darkness consume. If one of his enemies were to find him laying defenseless here and finish him then so be it. He had no more fight left, no one to turn to, no shelter he could seek. It was cold and Loki wasn't sure if it was because the temperature or how fast he was bleeding out. This is it. He told himself. This is how it ends.
But then, just the moment before Loki closed his eyes, he saw a shimmering light up ahead. He forced his eyes open in slits, his vision blurry but he could still make out that there was a hut, a small wooden hut. And fuck, that could be his last hope. Gritting his teeth, he forced himself on his hands and knees, dragging his body forward. If he couldn't walk then he'd goddamn crawl instead. There was no pride, no dignity. He was desperate and this was his last resort.
Though Loki couldn't come up with how he was supposed to stay the night in there. Surely the house's owner wouldn't be too glee to let Loki the notorious villain in, if they didn't call the cops. Loki could murder his way through, perhaps. Like he always did. But the problem being he was too weak to harm a fly, let alone killing a person.
This might be just a bit harder than Loki thought.

It was her getaway; when things got too complicated she'd escape the everything and just be here - her pretty little cabin in the woods. She liked it. It was quiet, secluded and she could do whatever she wanted without judging eyes or controlling hands of anyone. Obviously, y/n wasn't expecting a visitor when she heard knocking on her front door.
She paused for a sec, shifting her gaze from her laptop and towards the direction, debating with herself if she should answer to it at all. It could be just a raccoon. Who would wander in the middle of the forest at this time?! Then came another knocking. This time y/n abandoned the spot on her loveseat and made her way over to the door.
