Episode 3: Tag Team

"Birdie no!" Ruby cried.

The students landed safely except for Jaune. He got a little help from Pyrrha.

"I believe I can fly! Now, where is Theo supposed to land?" Lupin scanned the forest and calculated the place where I would possibly land. "There huh? Well then, guess I'll go!"

He activated his weapon and unleashed wind slashes to change his path. As he got closer to a tree, he unleashed another set of wind slashes to reduce his speed and then, he landed safely.

"Now, I'm gonna go find him." He immediately bolted off but several beowolves were already there, waiting for him.

He stopped on his tracks and prepared himself.

"Lupin already landed huh? Well then, I guess it's my turn." I said. I took my weapon and transformed it into a gun. I fired consecutive air bullets to reduce my speed and then, landed on a nearby tree.

I went down and started running. Lupin's a wolf faunus so, I'm sure he can find me by scent.

Lupin was fighting against several beowolves. They weren't that hard but they sure are annoying.

"Whoops! Almost!" He performed a somersault backwards while evading a claw attack from a beowolf.

But, he landed near an Alpha Beowolf. He took a picture out of his pocket and pointed at it. "Have you seen this man?" It was a picture of us when we graduated at our school before Beacon.

The Beowolf attacked. Lupin blocked it but he was pushed back. "Oof!"

It's been a few minutes after we landed. I saw black smoke rising from a distance and heard gunfire and explosions. Someone's fighting grimms. I even heard a high pitched scream from a girl in trouble.

"Hmm. Now where is the temple?" I said.

And then, I heard a voice behind me. "Just up ahead."

I turned and for sure, it was Lupin. "Heh, took you long enough." I said.

"Man, I was fighting beowolves. The moment I landed, some of them were waiting for me." He said as he hid his weapon.

"Tough Luck. In any case, we should get moving." I said.

As we head for the temple, we fought several grimms which consists of Beowolves, Alpha Beowolves, Ursa and Ursa Major.

They only came with fewer numbers so it was easy to deal with them.

"Our last pair has been formed sir. Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren. Poor boy, I can't possibly imagine those two getting along. Still, he's probably better off than Ms. Nikos. I don't care what his transcript say, that Jaune fellow was not ready for this level of combat. I guess we'll find out soon enough." Says Glynda. She walked a few steps away behind Ozpin.

"At their current pace, they should reach the temple within just a few minutes. Speaking of which, what did you use as relics this year? Professor Ozpin?" She asked him.

Ozpin was silent. He was watching Ruby's performance on his scroll and then switched to ours.

Snf Snf

"Hmmm. They're nearby." Says Lupin as he sniffed the air.

"Who?" I asked him.

"Ruby and the rest of the team. They're all gathered in one spot." He said.

I shrug, "Well, that's where the relics are located. They've beat us to it, we should hurry. There should be more relics in that temple. We should head there too." I suggested.
