Today was the ball day. I woke up early to get ready. The Girls were coming to get ready with me. Nobody knew that I had a date and he was Gilbert. "Can I come in?" "Yeah mom you can." "Hello darling." She said "Hi mom" I said "Wich dress are you going to wear?" She asked "This one mom." I answered and showed her the dress that I was going to wear. "This is beautiful Betty." She said "I know mom, you bought it." I said chuckling "Okay get ready I will not disturb you." "It's okay mom, anyways Anne and Diana will come to get ready together." I said "Okay" She said and turned to leave as I said "Wait, one more thing."I said "Okay, go ahead." "I will not come with you and girls today."I said nervous a bit "Hmm, then with who?" She said "With my date." I said "It's Gilbert isn't it." My eyes widened at her words as I wanted to say how do you know but she answered before I could ask. "That was too obvious." She said chuckling and left. I just stood there and started to think why was that too obvious to my mother, as my thoughts were interrupted by my mom's voice. "Betty Anne and Diana are here!" She yelled "Coming!" I said and went downstairs "Hello Anne, hello Diana" I greeted two best friends as they came in "Hello" "Hi" "Lets go to my room and not to waste time."

"Soo does anyone have a date." Anne asked exited "I am going with Charlie." Anne said "I knew it." Diana said and I laughed "What about you Betty?" Diana asked "I- I'm going with Gilbert." I said "Reallyyy?" Anne asked exacted "That's great actually." Diana said "Yeah?" "Yes, but if Ruby was here she would've cried." I stayed silent "Don't worry, she will understand you, I think." "Okay change the subject." Diana said "I agree, did you guys brought your dresses?" "Yes I did." They answered at the same time "Show me and then we will try them on." Anne showed me the dress from yesterday, and Diana showed us a beautiful yellow dress. "It's beautiful girls." I said "Thanks" they said that at the same time again and chuckled "What about your dress Betty.?" Anne asked me "Yeah I totally forgot. I will show it guys. Just wait." I said and went to my wardrobe to show them my dress "This is my dress." I said as I Showed them my rose colored dress. "This is really pretty Betty." "lets get ready now"
3rd person Pov Gilbert's house "Is this one good Bash" Gilbert asked to his friend as he showed him his next costume "Hmmm let me think, no." Sebastian said "Ughh you're saying that to my every outfit." "I know I know, they aren't that good, that's why." "Uh okay I'll show my my last outfit." Gilbert said as Bash chuckled "What about this one?" The boy asked "This one is good Gilbert." Suddenly Mary appeared and said "Yeah... I guess so." Bash said joking "Oh shut up please." Gilbert said and they all started to laugh "Why do you care that much for your outfit." Mary asked "Ooo you don't know that he asked someone for a date." Bash said to his wife "No, let me guess." She hummed and said "Is that Elizabeth?" "H-how did you" "It is too obvious" "Okay I- I will just go to pick her up and go" "Ofc ofc go, we will not tease you." Bash joked Gilbert rolled his eyes and went Elizabeth's Pov "Okay Im ready to go" I said to myself and went out of my room.

"You look wonderful darling." Mom said as I entered our living room "Thanks mom." I said Knock Knock "I will open" I said and headed to door. "Hello" I said To Gilbert as I opened the door "H-hi, you look dashing." He said as he's face went red "Thank you, you don't look bad yourself." I said "Shall we?" He asked me and held he's hand "We shall" I said and we went out "Let's go." I said to Gilbert and we went to the carriage

He asked "At first it was very difficult but after Going to school, getting new friends it was pretty good." I said and he smiled "Are you hungry" he asked "To be honest? Yes I am, are you?" I replied softly "Yes, That's why I brought with me food." "You brought food with you?" I teased "Yep, I brought some sandwiches that Mary made, just in case." "We're at you're wanted destination " the driver said "Great" Gilbert said and he came down from carriage and held his hand for me "Thank you" As we entered the ballroom Mrs Barry Welcomed us "Hello Gilbert" she greeted the boy "Hello Mrs Josephine" "And I believe you are Victoria's daughter Elizabeth." "Yes I am, nice to meet you Mrs Josephine ." I said to the lady Then we headed to our friends, and I expected Ruby to be upset or something because she had a crush on Gilbert but she was with Moody. I guess it was okay for her. "Hello Guys." I said "Hi Betty you look dashing" Billy said smirking "Yes you look amazing." "Thank you Ruby, you look beautiful too." I said to the girl smiling We turned our head to the stage as Mrs Josephine started her speech After that music started and everyone started to get into pairs "Would you like to dance?" Gilbert asked me "I would love to." I said and we got into the position for dance We started to dance waltz and I said "I didn't know that you could dance like this." He chuckled "You are not a bad dancer yourself " he said
