"You're a good dancer you know" I said to the brown haired boy "Oh why thank you." Gilbert said chuckling "Gilbert can I have this dance please?" Asked Ruby Gilbert turned to me and I nodded mentioning that its ok. "Yeah" said Gilbert and went to dance with Ruby, as music was going to start. I thought I was not gonna dance this one, cause i didn't have a partner, but my thoughts were interrupted as someone tapped my shoulder. "Would you like to dance with me Betty?" Asked Cole, who Anne introduced me earlier "Sure Cole" I said to the blond haired boy and we headed to the dance-floor. Music started as everyone started to dance. I saw Anne who was happy to dance with Charlie, Diana with Moody, and the grin on Ruby's face. "You look ravishing Betty." Said Cole "Oh thank you Cole, you look handsome yourself." I said smiling "I think someone has eyes on you." "And who can it be?" "Turn your head around and you'll see." He kinda whispered I turned and saw Gilbert looking at me, and when he saw me looking at him he immediately looked away. "See" Cole said smirking "Oh shut it Cole" I said as he chuckled As the music stopped dance partners bowed and went where they wanted to Some time later "Can I have this dance Betty." Billy Andrews asked me "Uh yeah" I said and he took me to the dance floor Music started and We started to dance. We didn't talk to each other during the dance. Telling the truth we didn't talk to each other that much.

"Hey can you come with me for a minute." Billy asked me after the dance "Um yeah" i said and he showed the way We came outside,why? Maybe he want to talk about something or someone "Billy wh- " he cut me off by pinning me against the wall and keeping he's hand by my sides that i can't go anywhere but here. "You know how much I wanted you to notice me." He said as he's hand went down my cheek "how much I wanted you to be my side, not Gilbert." He said shaking he's head "Oh Blythe Blythe, how can you have a girl like this in your side and don't now how to treat her."he said laughing and started to lower he's hand down to my chest "Billy stop" i said as disgust gathered in me "Please" "Oh why? Lets wait till your prince comes and rescues you" he chuckled and placed he's other hand on my back I really don't know why but I couldn't do anything at that moment, as I was paralyzed. He started to get to the end of my skirt to raise it up "Billy stop please." I said crying "Im begging you stop, and i wont tell anyone I- I promise just-" "Shhh"He cut me off "Bi-" "Shut it you brat, you don't deserve anyone!" He raised he's voice
Gilbert's POV I didn't see Betty anywhere and I went to find her. She was not inside and I went to find her outside as i heard voices. "Billy stop please, I'm begging you stop, and i wont tell anyone I- I promise just-"It was the voice that I would recognize everywhere "Shh" "Bi-" "Shut it!" I straightly went to the voices and saw Billy and teary Betty pinned to the wall "What's going on?" I asked harshly "Nothing dude we are just having a fun conversation." Billy answered "Go Billy" I said "What? Dude what do you me-" "I said leave" After that he left immediately, and i rushed to Betty "Betty what he did?" She started to sob and I hugged her, rubbing her back. "He- he wanted to-"she started but couldn't continue and started to sob harder "Shh"i said " you don't have to talk about it" "Do you want me to take you to your house?" I asked she nodded "what about your mom?" "She was gonna stay here overnight " she said wiping her tears "So, Lets go" At Betty's house After getting out of carriage and getting inside her house, i saw tears coming from her eyes. "Hey are you okay" I asked knowing the answer "No Gilbert I- I am not, no-nobody ever did a thing like that to me, I-I don't know I just-" she cut herself off as she started to cry hard. I hugged her tightly not wanting to let her go

Back to Betty's POV He hugged me tightly and I felt safe in his arms, i dont know and I dont want to know what would happen if he came late or never came. "Lets go to your room you need to rest." He said and I nodded. Nobody's been so protective to me in a long time

"I will wait you change outside." Gilbert said and went outside the room After I changed I called him and he came in "Thank you" i said quietly sitting on my bed "I don't know what would happen if you were not there." "I will be always by your side, always" my heart flattered at his words "Gilbert" I said quietly "do you think that I am a brat?" "A what?" He said surprised "of course no who told you that?" "Billy" I mumbled looking straight to his eyes "You know who you are?" He asked "you are the most wonderful girl that I've ever seen, you are perfect, and every time I stare into your eyes I just melt in them, every time I hear you laugh my heart just flatters, but as I see you cry my heart just brakes Betty." He holds my hands and continues "there's no one compares to You, I don't know what I would do if you hadn't came into this town.
