13.Concert day

So the Concert is today, even tho its not my first concert I'm still nervous.
As I was changing my dress into the dress that Cole chose for me

I tried to tie the laces of the dress but couldn't as I was gonna call mom to help me someone knocked on my door.
"Come in" I said

Gilbert's Pov
"Come in" she said and I opened the door and stepped in
"Oh hey Gilbert"
"Hey" I said and turned to her but immediately turned around because her dress' laces weren't tied up
"Its ok" she said chuckling  "actually can you help me tie them up?"
"Me?" I said turning to face her
"Do you see any other person here? Well ofc you" she said playfully rolling her eyes
As i got near her i noticed her perfectly curled hair, she was perfect at everything.
As I was near her I pulled her closer to me hugging her tightly.
"Heyy my hairrr you are going to ruin it"
"Im noot"
"You are"
"Nope"
She looked at me smiling and kissed me

"I love you" i whispered
Her eyes widened
"I- I mea-"
She turned to face me, took my hands and said
"I love you too Gilbert"
I took her cheek and kissed her slightly. She looked at me smiling.
"I'm back, ready to go?" Mrs Victoria asked-yelled
"Yeah Mom will be there in a minute" Lizzie yelled-answered back
"So will you finally tie the laces please?"
"Yes M'lady" i said

At the concert hall
"Why are you so nervous? You play perfectly Liz."
"I don't know Gil, i don't know."
"Hey, everything's gonna be alright, plus you look dashing"
"Thanks" she said kissed me in the cheek and left to the backstage

Lizzie's pov
I was always nervous at my concerts after a certain day.
The day my dad died.
Flashback
It was one of my concerts, it wasn't in a big hall or there weren't some royalties, it was a simple concert nothing special.
But that day was simply eventful for me.
Dad was at the work and mom was sitting in the concert hall.
As I was playing on Piano and others on violins and guitars, I heard people whispering to each other, and it got louder and louder. As I turned I saw mom rushing out of the hall. When I saw her I rushed out after her not caring about anything else.
"Mom!" I called after her "Mom wait for me"
When we got outside I saw her going to our hospital that was near the concert hall.
When we entered the hospital I saw all doctors gathered together, watching us. At that time i got it. Tears were slipping down my face.
"Why?" Mom said crying " how did it happen"
Hearing her cry broke me, as all memories came to me of me and my dad made me cry even more.
And next thing i remember I was sobbing in my moms arms
"Betty? Heeey?" I snapped back to reality
"Oh hey Diana"I said smiling
"You ready?"
"Of course"

"You did so well back there darling" Mom said
"Thanks mom" I said as I tried to look for Gilbert with my eyes
"Go"
"What?
"He is waiting for you"mom said laughing
I laughed and went to look for Gilbert.
"Hey"
"Hey"
"Come with me" He said
"Com- where?" I asked
"You will see"
"Okay lets go"
He took me outside as it was snowing.

When we were far away from the concert hall he started to run.
"Hey wait for me" I said
"Nope"
"Ughhhh" i said " you think it's easy to run in a dress?"
"I got an early Christmas present for you"
"You didn't have t-"
"Shh"
"Okay" i said
He opened a gift box and gave me a necklace

"Gilbert its beautiful thank you" I said
"You don't have to thank me" He said "you can't imagine how much more you're worth" After that words he kissed me
"Its cold lets go back, your mom is probably worried" he said
"Yeah lets go"
