Gilbert's Pov Days have passed, hours, minutes but I can't get Lizzie out of my mind, how cruel I was to her. How I went to have a date with Winifred the day after, forgetting everything. Few days later Avonlea is going to host the Island Country Fair, so later we're going to practice a dance for it. I was with Miss Stacy while everyone was reading the "news" on our board. Nearly everyone has decided where they are going to study after they finish school ,but I haven't. "Hello again, dear world." Miss Stacy said as she opened the newspaper. "Medical research at The Sorbonne in Paris. Funny, Dr. Ward mentioned antitoxins last month" I said as I started to read "What's an antitoxin?" Suddenly Anne came, grabbed a newspaper and asked. "It's a new kind of preventative medicine." All of a sudden Lizzy came and answered to Anne's question "Seems to actually be working,from the look of it, even though Dr. Ward called it "nonsense."" I said as they looked at me. "Most people have a hard time trusting new ideas.The Sorbonne is an excellent university." Miss Stacy assured "And thousands of miles and dollars away." I said disappointed "I know a doctor named Emily Oak who's doing similar work at the University of Toronto.Perhaps you could write to her, Gilbert. expect she could guide you toward Canadian universities specialising in medical research." she said "Thank you. I'll take you up on that." I thanked her "Oh, just look at these obituaries.So many incredible lives. Reading these makes me wish my own parents had been remembered the same way so I might've known something about them." Anne said sighing "Perhaps we should write an obituary for Mary in the Avonlea Gazette.For Delphine." Lizzie suggested "That's a lovely idea." I admitted as I got closer to her "It really Is"said Anne smiling " I'll ask Bash, see what he thinks about it." our heads were nearly apart and as the looks in both of our eyes you could feel the tension, miles away. "Anne, ! You're on the board! Charlie"noticed you"!" Diana informed us as she came running I looked at them quite sad and disappointed I might say, but I couldn't do anything.
Lizzie's Pov After Diana came I took her and Anne's hands and left " Good morning, Anne." Charlie said as he saw us " Busy! Sorry!" Anne shouted because she was still quite shocked that he "noticed her" "So, Anne, are you gonna dance with Charlie tomorrow?" Josie pie asked "Am I what?" Anne asked, seeing her face expression I snorted "Miss Stacy scheduled practice for the county-fair barn dance." I reminded them "For all of us.Boys and girls" Tillie exclaimed "That means... touching" Ruby squealed.

Later that day I was at home,reading, before the dance practice. Suddenly someone knocked on the door and I went to open it. Gilbert was the one knocking. "Yes Gilbert? " I said as I opened the door and stepped out "So I asked Bash about your suggestion, and guess what? He agreed to write an obituary for Mary" He said happily "Oh my God ,really?I thought he would never agree" "He said ,and I quote "If its Dellies auntie suggesting, so we should one hundred percent do it" I laughed and I don't know what came to my mind, but I hugged him. The boy who unreasonably broke my heart, who I didn't want to see two weeks ago. Its like confusion starts to take my heart "We should probably rest before the practice"I said letting go " Yeah we should" He admitted smiling
