I went straight to my bed when I arrived home. I lost interest in doing anything after knowing that those two are couples. Years ago, I told my mother that I want to find someone like her; I found that someone, but she's already with my best friend. I do not know why I'm moping. I just want to lie down on my bed and let the world do whatever it wants.

Someone is knocking on the door. I don't mind it. I need some peace, and the person will leave when no one opens the door for him. Besides, he has his own home for sure.

A few seconds later, the knocking turned into banging. Maybe he got the wrong home. I want to stay in bed, but this person won't go away. I have no choice but to tell him that he got the wrong house.

"Geez... Jimmy, it's only you. I thought some drunk took my house by mistake. What's wrong?"

"I know I'm not disturbing you," he looked at his watch, "it's eight-thirty. I know you don't sleep until ten o'clock."

"Jimmy, just say it."

"I brought her home, like I always do during our dates, and I want to tell her that I want to marry her, but I can't say it. I want to, but I just froze." He walks in circles while talking. "So I kissed her and walked my way because I don't know how to tell her."

"Stop being stupid."

"I know but - "

"Sit down and stop pacing. You're making me dizzy."

He sat beside me and leaned on the couch.

"Al, what should I do?"

"Jimmy, haven't you watched any movies or TV dramas?"

"What's with those?"

"Seriously? You haven't seen anything with a proposal scene?"

"Do I need to copy those?"

"Idiot! Just like them, you have to prepare yourself before you ask her for marriage. You do not say 'hey, I want to marry you' out of the blue. You need to compose your best words before you pop the question."

"It will be my birthday in a few months. I have enough time to prepare, right?"

"You'll propose on your birthday?"

"I was thinking; since I'm the one who's dying to marry her."

"Okay... Now you're free to leave."

"Al..." He thinks I'm joking. "Can you be more supportive?"

"That's why I'm telling you to leave, so you can begin your proposal speech."

"You want me to do it now?"

"Soon enough, you'll be complaining to me that it's difficult or that you can't find the right words. You better go and start thinking."

"Fine. I'll leave before you kick me out." He stood and made his way to the door. "Al, I miss the days like this when we talk. Anyway, make sure to make yourself available anytime."

"Stop being sentimental. It doesn't suit you."

"Yeah, go to sleep now, Beast!" And he shut the door.
