She is so beautiful in her wedding gown, and I am delighted to see how happy she is as I sang Amazed in the version she wanted. As a friend who granted her favor, I want to be proud of myself. Two years ago, she requested it, and I'm happy to fulfill it. I know I did well.

The host announced that the wedding dance is about to begin. Her father stood up and came to her. It is my cue to sing Butterfly Kisses. I can't say if she's a daddy's girl, but with the way she hugs her father, it seems that she doesn't want to let go. She's holding her tears back. No bride would like to ruin their makeup, but she gave in. Eventually, tears flowed from her eyes. No one can hold their tears for long, especially with the moment she's in. I can see that her father is happy as he kisses her on the cheek. I think he's proud of her.

The father-daughter dance is finished; it's now the groom's turn. I started singing On This Day, the song Jimmy and I decided on when one of us gets married.

Here we stand today

Like we always dreamed

The smiles on their faces show how happy they are. And with Jamie, her smile radiates the joy inside of her. Such a beauty.

As I watch the couple dance, I can feel the happiness in my heart. I never felt envy or anger even if Jamie ended up marrying Jimmy, despite the fact that I love her. Maybe because I love Jimmy as a brother. Well, from the beginning, I know that they're good for each other... that they are meant to be together.

Another singer came to replace me. She's about to sing Runaway by The Corrs. As the instrumental goes on, I walk towards the newly-wedded couple.

"May I dance with the bride?" I asked.

"Sure, best man." Jimmy said as he allows me to take his bride's hand.

Say it's true

There's nothing like me and you

I'm not alone

Tell me you feel it too

"Al, that is such a wonderful performance."

I know she's referring to my singing of Amazed. With the way she said it and the way she's looking at me, I am delighted.

"My pleasure." I replied. That's the only thing I could say when all I wanted to tell her is how beautiful she is. Man, I have to stop thinking. I just need to savor the moment.

As our dance continues, I can't help but remember the moments I had with her. Everything is worthwhile. Everything.

"You're such a beauty." I slipped.

"Oh Al, you're sweet as ever."

And you're amazing as always. Just my thought.

From where I'm standing, I guess I have to be satisfied. Even as her friend only. With this, at least, I could still have her. I love her, but I'm not the one for her.
