Three days later, Rose's funeral was happening. Everyone was shocked to discover that such a young girl had died because of a terrible accident. Every classmate of hers had come to cry their sorrows for her, and say 2 or 3 kind words about a girl who they barely knew.
"Rose was a good person. She always gave the others more than to herself, she was selfless, kind, and a loveable person. I regret not knowing her better, now, I hope she rests in peace wherever she is." - Chloé admitted placing a pink Rose beneath the closed coffin.
Marinette walked some steps forward and prepared herself mentally for her little speech.
"Rose was a friend, a classmate, a best friend and even a girlfriend. She always fought for what she believed in and she never let any of us down, she was more than a good person, she was a light in our lives, a blessing, I'm grateful everyday for being able to say that I was once one of her closest friends and I couldn't ask for a better one. She always had that gentle smile in her face and her piercing blue eyes that reassured us that everything was going to be alright, her soul was pure and so was she. Thank you."
Juleka sadly smiled at Marinette's confession. Rose's parents were there, they didn't let Juleka make a speech. Juleka was angry, sad, frustrated. She didn't understand why Rose's parents didn't allow her to love their daughter, in that minute, the world seemed so unfair.
...
"Is this the rest of our lives Adrien?" - Marinette asked him, with her head laid in his chest and him brushing the strings of her hair gently.
"I don't know M'lady." - he responded insure of what the future had planned for them.
"I'm sick of this twisted wave of grief, I'm tired of feeling this way. We're hurting everyone around us." - she said stabbing him with words. He knew it was true, she knew it was true, could their love destroy everyone around them? She decided it was time to change things, she couldn't allow more destruction and overwhelming grief that was tearing everyone's lives to the ground.
"I'm going to visit your father, I need answers." - she stated, getting up and staring at him.
"Let me come with you." - he stood holding her wrist. She blinked twice and accepted.
"Okay."
...
"Well well well, look who we have here." - Gabriel smirked dressed in prison clothes. His hair was grey and messier than ever, he wasn't wearing his glasses which made him look more intimidating.
Marinette sat in a chair and Adrien sat next to her. They were separated from Gabriel by a transparent glass.
Adrien picked the telephone in front of him to be able to speak with his father, and raised it to his ear.
"Hello dad." - he greeted in a low voice, and with no pride when calling that man his father.
"Hello Adrien, and hello Marinette." - he said staring at them. "I presume you didn't miss me. What do I owe the pleasure?"
"We want to know more about the prophecy."
Gabriel chuckled. Adrien was shocked at his action, never in his entire life he had seen his father even smile.
