CLARDIA

"Sgt. Harveyyyyy! Hi!" Masayang-masayang bati ko kay Sergeant habang abot tenga ang aking ngiti.

Kakalabas ko lang ng study and I'm half-jumping towards my room. I don't know, I just feels so happy! Parang kaya kong ngumiti maghapon nang hindi nangangalay.

"Hi, Ms. Clardia!" Bati din ni Sgt. Harvey. "Why are you so happy?" tanong niya sa'kin na medyo tatawa-tawa.

"Uhm, well..."

Bakit nga ba? Simula nung nag-thank you at ngumiti sa'kin si Xavier, nagka-ganito na 'ko. Dahil nga ba sa kanya? Pero bakit ang saya ko sa simpleng ngiti niya? Ugh! What's happening to you, Clardia?

"Nothing. I just feels so happy, Sergeant! By the way, where is Celeste?" I changed topic.

"Sgt. Rigel visited her, Ms. Clardia." he answered.

I furrowed my brow. "Who's Rigel?"

"He is her husband."

"What?! Why did you let her meet that bastard, Sergeant?!?!"

Lahat ng sayang nararamdaman ko ay napalitan ng pag-aalala. Alam kong ang asawa niya ang nanakit sa kanya kaya alam ko ring masama ang balak niya sa pagbisita kay Celeste!

"Why? What's the matter, Ms. Clardia?" naguguluhang tanong ni Sgt. Harvey.

Hindi ko na siya sinagot. "Let's go Sergeant! Let's find them! Celeste might need us!"

Dire-diretso na kong naglakad papuntang elevator upang hanapin sila. Sumunod agad sa'kin si Sergeant kahit pa naguguluhan. Pinindot ko ang ground floor. Pagkarating namin doon ay agad akong naglibot. I started in the living room pero walang tao doon. Then to the lounge, but I saw the same scenario. I even looked into the dining area as well but still, I didn't saw them there.

Where else can I find them? Oh right! Sa quarters ni Celeste!

"Sergeant, where is the servants' quarters area here?" I asked looking sideways.

"Second floor, third hallway after the elevator, Ms. Clardia." sagot ni Sergeant.

"Okay, lead me."

We entered again the elevator then, Sgt. Harvey pressed the second floor button. When we arrived, we hurriedly find the hallway. Agad naman namin itong nakita at lumiko kami roon. There's a lot of doors along it pero pare-pareho lang ng design.

Nagtuloy-tuloy kami sa dulo until Sergeant halted in front of the last door at the right side.

"I saw her entered this room before so, I think it is hers." sabi ni Sgt. Harvey.

I stepped forward him and held the door's knob. I slowly twisted it but, it is locked. I repeated twisting it multiple times pero nakasara talaga! Mas kinabahan ako. Baka kung ano nang nangyari kay Celeste!

"Let me, Ms. Clardia." Sgt. Harvey said. Siya naman ang nasa unahan ngayon upang buksan ang pinto. "I'm going to shot, Miss. Step back."

I did what he said and in no time, he shot the door knob. Hindi naman ito lumikha ng malakas na ingay. Naka-silencer ata si Sergeant.

He kicked the door and where froze to our place when we saw what's happening inside.

Lieutenant Neud is sitting on the bed while he's holding a cotton buds to Celeste's side lips. While, Celeste is holding an ice bag to her left cheeks. Kapwa na rin silang nakatingin sa'min.
