Cold and Merciless~

Bahagyang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko nang makita si Celeste na kasama si VU o ang Epsilon ng mga elites. The latter's pointing a gun at her temple while its arm was wrapped around her neck. I struggled as I tried to remove the grip of the woman behind me. Meanwhile, Sgt. Harvey clenched his jaw as he saw Celeste being hostaged although his gun remained pointed at Pherkad.

"If anyone of you will dare to make a bad move, then you know what will happen to this kid." sabi ni VU habang nakangisi. Then, she lifted her hands to Chef Justine's direction which cause their surrounding to have a transparent like barrier. Now, my friends and him were detained inside a dome-like thing.

"What are you looking at? Give me your gun or that girl will die." usal naman ni Pherkad kay Sgt. Harvey. Tiningnan muna ng masama ni Sergeant ang babae bago dahan-dahang binigay ang baril dito. Nang makuha ito ni Pherkad ay sa kaniya niya naman ito itinutok.

"What do you need now?" matapang na tanong ko sa kanila.

"You always ask us that thing whenever we meet, Clardia." sagot ni VU na bahagyang tatawa-tawa pa. That just made me more annoyed and mad.

"Can you please just answer me?" I asked sarcastically.

"Well, we're here to scare you."

"What?"

Bakit naman nila ako tatakutin? Susugod sila rito para lang takutin ako? But still why? Are they fools? Boring na ba sila sa buhay nila?

"Stop playing with her Epsilon." sabi ni Pherkad sa kasama niya. She then, turned her gaze to me. "Of course, we're here to continue the mission of our organization—which is to make the Montevillas fall. And if you're still part of them... then we have no choice but to make you fall as well."

"I am not afraid of falling you know." I told her as I stare into her eyes. "I'm much afraid of being someone like you who's heart is closed and who's life is filled with revenge and darkness."

Hindi agad siya nakasagot sa sinabi ko. Tumalim ang tingin niya hanggang igalaw ang baril na hawak at itutok ito sa akin. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko at hindi ko naiwasang hindi kabahan lalo nang ipinutok na niya ito. Sinara ko ang aking mga mata, naghihintay na lang na ito'y tumama sa akin pero ilang segundo ang nakalipas at wala akong naramdaman. Dahan-dahan, binuksan ko ang aking mga mata. Nakita ko sa pasukan ng dining area sila Xavier, Greg, Xanthal, at Lt. Neud na pare-parehong nakakunot ang mga noo at seryoso.

On my peripheral view, I saw a bullet just before my right cheeks. It was not really pointed on me but, if it wasn't stopped mid-air, then it should have cause a graze on my skin.

I looked at Xavier as the bullet fall. His fine brows were now furrowed, with a menacing aura surrounding him. Sa totoo lang nakakatakot siya ngayon.

"Oh, hi Prince Xavier. What a great timing."

Hindi ko alam kung bakit nagawa pang sabihin iyon ni VU sa kan'ya. Masasabi ko talaga ngayon na matapang ang babaeng 'yon para kausapin ng gano'n si Xavier kahit pa mukhang papatayin na siya nito sa nanlilisik na titig pa lang.

"C-Celeste!"

Tila napapitlag naman si Sore eyes nang makita si Celeste na bihag-bihag nito at may nakatutok pang baril. The latter is close to crying but she is trying to suppress it as possible. I know she just don't want to look weak.
