Me: (turns off music and continues working)
Mom: What are you doing?
Me: (internally screaming) homework....
Mom: (looks at screen) What are you actually doing?
Me: Mom, I'm actually doing homework. Remember, for the writing course?
Mom: (in Chinese) I don't think that's what you're actually doing.
Me: (panicking) Mom, I'm seriously doing this stuff!
Mom: Show me.
Me: (opens screen with writing homework)
Mom: You haven't done much.
Me: *thinking: Ooh she's good.
Me: Yeah, well writing isn't the easiest thing in the world.
Mom: (FINALLY WALKS AWAY)
Me: (checks to see if coast is clear) (opens Wattpad window)
