Hello peeps and bonbons, KAYdance has returned!! :D

Another crazy event in my crazy life series is back, and I promise, this one doesn't involve me getting hurt (ironically), but it's something that happened in China.

Quick backstory: I am Chinese American, and sometimes my mom, dad, and I go visit our relatives in China. This story takes place in my mom's hometown, which is at a tiny island underneath China, called Hainan. (Google it)

Enjoy<3~

So we barely get to go China to visit for a number of different reasons: Money, hotels, my dad's laziness, you name it. But back in 2020 (before COVID don't worry XD), we were able to go to China for the first time in FOUR years.

We ended getting stuck in my mom's parent's apartment for a whole week because of a new virus called coronavirus going around in China. Big bummer. We mostly came to keep my mom's dad company, because he wasn't exactly well, so we just had to visit him.

Now, my mom's side of the family is huge, because she has like, four siblings. I have a cousin sister, and she has a 5 year old son (as of now). So he's technically my nephew! Weird...

Yes, I'm an aunt :-)

He's a younger male version of Sasha: energetic, chaotic, and sugar obsessed. He also likes to dance, but I'm totally better 😎 because come on he's 5. Give the kid a break.

One of his hobbies is to run in circles around me after he stole my glasses which I hate ;-;

Anyway, you guys all know how my dad deals with kids.

Dad: Just spank them all and they'll listen. Seriously.

....Thanks dad.

Anyway, let's call my "nephew" Child (creative yes :D)

So Child naturally became afraid of my dad, because whenever he'd come around to the apartment we were staying in with my mom's family to do his shenaniganns, dad would just give him the stink eye, and he'd back off.

*clapping*

One day, to rid CHILD of his manic energy, we decided to walk to the park, which wasn't that far from the apartment complex luckily, otherwise that would've been quite a trek, and Haikou is HOT.

We went to the playground to watch Child chase kids around, fed the ducks bits of corn (I dunno if they ate corn), and enjoyed life. You know, normal park stuff.

Then as he was happily hurrying back down the path, he tripped over the tinniest pebble, and totally FELL on the hard concrete. (oof)

Child: Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

oH yeah and he CRIED his heart out when he realized his arm was bleeding a little.

I mean, it's not like it's the first time the kid has ever seen blood.

RIGHT??

Cousin: (in distance) IT WAS HIS FIRST TIME-

Ur lying :P

He wouldn't stop bawling out his lungs and refused to move. At this point, my dad was pretty fed up, and he told me to sit with him on a bench a few feet away and wait for him to calm down and follow us. Perfect parenting strategy dad, 10 out of 10.

I'd hate if I were him.

So it took AGES until we were all gray and wrinkled, and CHILD FINALLY FRICKING STOOD UP AND FOLLOWED US.

Dad got us ice cream afterwards, so I think that park trip was worth it.

Except Child refused to visit the apartment for the rest of our stay.

Wow look how SHORT that chapter is.

Sorry guys I was lazy but um at least there's more than 600 words!! :D

Hope you enjoyed that story; yes my dad intimidates children like that. And don't worry, Child's arm was fine. He refused to let my mom patch the scrape up though o-O

Don't forget to let me know what you think I should put in this story, and please ask me if you want to be a part in one of my chapters!! :D

Baiiiiii 4 now peeps and bonbons. Look after your kids, children, sibling, etra!

CHILD NOO DON'T BREAK THAT VASE

(lol I've been looking after kids a lot recently, like in my neighborhood and the skate camp I want to volunteer in. I had to stop a kid from getting run over a car I deserve payment 🙄)
