Chapter 190

Matt's POV: Once I finished texting my sister, I went to call my mom right away (hoping she was awake) so that I could make plans with her. Since Christie and Violet were already coming over, I was hoping that she would want to come over. Anyways, she hasn't spent that much time with Ella or Wally yet so, I am positive that she will definitely want to come over and spend some quality time with them. Finding her home phone number, I then went to call it and put my phone up to my ear.  "The number you are trying to reach has been disconnected." I was confused as I went to hang up. "Hey Gabby, can I see your phone for a minute?"

Gabby was confused when I said that. "What's wrong Matt?" I then sighed. "I just tried to call my mom's place. I got the disconnected line. She get a new home phone or..." Gabby then shook her head. "Try her cell phone. I am making some pancakes." I nodded and smiled. "Sounds good but, I will definitely try her cell phone." Looking through my contacts, I then went to find it and called it. This time she answered. "Hey Matt." I then let out a sigh of relief. "Hey mom, just to let you know...your home phone is disconnected." My mom laughed. "I got rid of that. We all have cell phones. Why pay for extra when I am on a fixed income unlike you."

I laughed and understood. "Okay, then I will take it out of my contacts." Putting my phone on speaker, I then went to take my mom's home phone out of her contact and then put her cell phone in my favorites. Once that was done, I looked at Matteo. "Hey Matteo, can you say hi to grandma?" Matteo then smiled. "Hi grandma." My mom laughed when he did that. "You just waking up or something?" I laughed. "No, me and Christie were just talking. She's coming over today for lunch. She must not be working."

My mom loved the sound of that, I could tell by the way she spoke. "Matt, I would love to come over and spend time with all of my grandkids at once! There is no better way to spend a weekday. What time?" I then sighed. "Mom, Violet isn't coming because she has school. So, you are going to spend time with all your kids and your Casey grandkids all at once. But, she's coming here at 12:30. However, we both know that'll end up being around 1ish. Still, get here at 12:30 so that you can help out with the kids' naps maybe?" My mom laughed. "Or can I just come whenever I am ready. I mea, if that's okay?"

Gabby then looked at up at me and shook her head. "Not until at least 11. That's when Wally is done with his first nap. If he wakes up during that nap Matt...it screws him up for not just the rest of the day but, the entire night too, you know that." I then turned to look at her and nodded. "Of course I kow that Gabby. Just relax and actually let me respond." Gabby nodded and agreed. "Mom, what Gabby said. Maybe you can come around 11:30-11:45. Christie's bringing lunch she said. But I know Matteo would love something from Grandma. She'll probably forget kids' food."

My mom laughed when I said that. "Probably. But listen, I also want to say...I am bringing you are card and I don't care if you say you don't want gifts, you are taking some." I understood. "Believe me mom, I gave up on not accepting gifts a while ago." Gabby laughed when I said that. "Especially since we had kids. They are expensive." I nodded and agreed. "Yet we had 3 of them." Gabby then stared at me. "Last time I checked, that was your fault mister." I smiled when she said that. "Listen mom, I will see you in a couple hours okay? Right now, I am currently in the midst of getting some snuggles from Wally."

Gabby smiled when I said that. "And believe me when I say this Nancy, it's adorable." Gabby then went to grab her phone and decided to take a picture. She then went to send it to my mom. "Take a look at the picture I just sent you Nancy." My mom then probably just did that based on what she said next. "Oh god, that's adorable." I laughed when she said that before smiling. "What can I say, I love my kids." I then went to kiss Wally's head and smiled at him. "Just hate that I am going to have to stop cuddling up to him like this when I go take a shower."

Gabby then smiled at me. "Listen, he's asleep. How about you go take a shower now? We aren't going anywhere today so just put your sweats back on after. Once you are done...you can cuddle up to him again." I smiled and agreed before going to get up, grabbing both the kids and bringing them to the cribs. "Why do I prefer to cuddle up to Wally for some reason?" Gabby then laughed. "Well, you aren't going to when you are back down here. You can hold Ella like that though because I am going to be holding Wally. Now, go shower and then breakfast."

I nodded and agreed, quickly walking over to her before kissing her softly. "Love you." Gabby smiled when I said that before kissing me again. "Listen mom, I will let you go okay?" My mom agreed. "Of course. See you later." I then went to hang up and smiled at Gabby. "See you when I am back." Gabby smiled and agreed as she watched me walk away to go take a shower. Once I was gone, she went back to work and concentrated on making us some breakfast.

QUICK NOTE for next chapter: I have changed my mind about Hannah Dawson (Antonio & Sylvie's daughter) having been born premature. Effectively immediately...she was born on time. That way, she's no longer in hospital and can be in the story more.  Thanks for reading...enjoy!
