Chapter 274

Matt's POV: After going to get Gabby some coffee, I smiled when I saw that she had the TV on and that the kids were still asleep. "This normal for them to sleep in so late? I am shocked honestly." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Can you please not be so loud? Then you are going to wake them up and I am not going to be very happy." I laughed and agreed with her before giving her the cup of coffee that she wanted. "Here, have the cup of coffee you insisted on having."

Gabby then stared at me and just shook her head. "Oh, you know I work better on coffee then without it." I nodded and went to sit down. "One cup. Then you are taking your medicine. Sorry but, I am at least going to make sure that you have your medicine to calm you down today." Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I said that. "Fair. I promise, I will take them." I nodded and smiled as I wrapped my arm around her, kissing her forehead.

I then smiled at her and just went to take a drink of my coffee. "Oh god, that's good." Gabby then took a sip and smiled. "It is. Wonder what type of coffee they have here." I smiled at her. "Hey, we are here on personal time. Don't you dare think of trying to find it out so you can open the bar earlier as a bistro or cafe. The restaurant was built to be a bar and only a bar. I would know considering all of the wiring I had to do to bring it up to code."

Gabby nodded and agreed with me. "That place was a mess when we first bought it wasn't it?" I nodded and agreed with her. "God, that place really did need a makeover. The old management did a horrible job keeping up with the repairs. Heck, I was shocked that the city didn't try and shut down the restaurant before the renovations." Gabby laughed when I said that. "Remember, it was closed when we bought it. We started fresh but kept the name."

I nodded and remembered that. "And of course, right on opening night...Hallie comes back into town. You must've hated that considering we were getting closer." Gabby sighed and nodded. "Yeah, that sucked. I mean, I was happy for you but..." I just stared at her. "Fine, I was mad/sad. I thought we were going to start something when she comes back. I mean...c'mon, you already broke his heart when you said you didn't want kids. Now, you come back?"

I laughed when she brought up that. "Oh my god. How am I just realizing that now?" Gabby was confused when I said that. "What are you just realizing?" I sighed and turned to look at her. "I ended both of my serious relationships because it had something to do with kids. Hallie, because she didn't want to have kids...you because we thought we couldn't have kids. What type of guy does that? I mean, talk about hypocrite." Gabby nodded and agreed.

"Looking back on it, you did it because you loved me though. You didn't want to loose me and you wanted to make sure I was safe. Matt, relax and stop beating yourself up about that okay? You need to let it go because we are past that. We are married again and have 3 amazing kids. But listen, let's change the subject and think about what we are going to have for breakfast. We can either eat here at the hotel or we can see if we can find a breakfast place nearby."

I thought about it and smiled. "You remember where we always used to go when we just had Matteo and started going back to work?" Gabby then looked up at mea nd smiled. "We always used to go to iHOP because it was on the way to work. So, what are you thinking...you want to go there for breakfast?" I thought about it and bit my lip. "What are you thinking about it?" Gabby smiled when I said that and nodded. "Sounds like fun and like a plan. We just need to feed them before we leave because I don't want them to get cranky when we are sitting in the restaurant."

I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Oh, definitely." And of course, right when I said that...Ella woke up. "You going to breastfeed her or do we have bottles ready?" Gabby then bit her lip. "I need to pump some more. So, I can feed her. However...you can go take a shower okay? I am sure she is going to go right back to sleep after I feed her." I smiled when she said that before going to kiss her head. "Then, I am not going to take a shower until after you feed her. I would like to take a shower with you please." Gabby smiled and agreed with me.

Turning her head, she went to kiss me softly and smiled. "Can you get them both for me and we can cuddle as a family until we have fed them both? Then, once they are both asleep again...we can head to the washroom and take a shower." I nodded and agreed, going to set my drink down on my side table before getting out of bed. Walking over the cribs, I then smiled as I went to grab the babies so that Gabby could feed them that morning before our shower.
