Chief Casey Season 2: Balancing Work, Family and Friendships

Matt's POV:
As I came back to bed after giving the kids a quick feeding, I smiled as I looked at Gabby since she was still asleep. Taking off my sweat pants, I went to join her in bed once again and just stayed on my side...hoping to keep her asleep. Unfortunately, that didn't happen because I just heard her speak to me. "Matt?" Rolling over and going to look at her, I sighed. "Hey, sorry. Go back to sleep. I just went to feed the babies." Gabby then looked at me. "What time is it?" I then went to check. "Maybe 7? Matteo was still asleep. That's all I know."

Gabby then decided to go check and nodded. "Yeah, 7:15." I then smiled at her. "You going to fall back asleep or are you awake?" Gabby then sighed. "You know I always have troubles falling back asleep when I am awake." I nodded and understood. "It's just really early though. And I am not going to do any work today. I want to spend time with you guys." Gabby smiled when I said that before crawling over to me and pushing me down so I was laying down on my back. Climbing on top of me, Gabby then bent down to kiss me softly. "Good answer." I laughed and smiled when she said that before going to wrap my arms around her.

Gabby then put her head on my shoulder as she laid down on my chest. Kissing her forehead softly, I smiled as I went to rub her back. "I want to go outside okay? Let's not stay cooped up today. We need to go out. It's a known fact that getting fresh air is good for mental health." Gabby nodded and agreed. "I also want to look into what we said. Matteo remember? I want to get him evaluated and diagnosed. Then, we can start courses of treatment." I nodded and agreed with her. "Just curious, we aren't falling back asleep are we?" Gabby shook her head. "Probably not, you know me. Once I'm awake, I'm awake."

I nodded and agreed with her. "Then, can you let me up for a minute?" Gabby seemed confused but let me get up. Getting up out of bed, I went to walk over to the washroom. "What are you doing Matt?" Going to grab her medicine, I went to put it in a little cup before grabbing some water. Might as well get her to take it so that it was done. That way, she had a clear head whenever the kids woke up and it was easier on her. Walking back over to Gabby with her medicine, I looked at her. "Here, I got you this. Might as well take them now." Gabby saw her medicine and agreed. "Good call. Just easier on me."

I nodded and agreed with her as she went to grab her medicine. Quickly taking it, she then went to grab the cup of water I got her. She then took a drink and just smiled at me. Turning around to go walk away, Gabby stopped me. "I didn't get the last part of my medicine." Turning to look at her, I was confused. She then motioned for me to come closer. I agreed and did as I was told. She then reached up for me and grabbed my neck to give me a kiss. "Thanks for getting that for me." I smiled and nodded. "Anytime." I gave her one last kiss before walking away.

Gabby's POV:
As I watched Matt walk away, I couldn't help but think about how nice his ass is. Okay, calm down girl. You are not getting any more sex today. Probably not at least. But right now, what I want to do is check on the babies. Grabbing my iPad as I sat up, I went to look at the app and smiled when I saw they were both asleep like the angels they are. That's when I heard Matt come back and join me in bed with his iPad. Seeing me look at the baby monitor he smiled before pointing at Gabriel. "He was not very co-operative this morning."

I laughed when he said that. "What do you expect? He's just like Matteo." Matt seemed to be confused when I said that. "What are you talking about?" I then smiled at him while grabbing his hand. "He co-operates for his namesake but not for his other parent." Matt smiled when I said that before going to wrap his arm around me. Cuddling up to him, I then put my hand on his chest while feeling his lips on my forehead. "Can we just stay here? I know it's boring but..." Going to grab my hand, Matt looked at me and sighed. "I made plans."

I then looked up at him, not impressed. "To do what?" Matt then smiled. "I was thinking of going to Antonio's so we can spend some time with Hannah. I mean, if that's okay?" I bit my lip when he said that. "With our 3 kids?" Matt then sighed when I said that. "Good point. Maybe we should talk to Antonio and see what he wants to do. But, he has the bigger house and Sylvie is on bedrest." I nodded when he said that. "That is a very good point. He's probably awake right now. Go put a shirt on and we can FaceTime him. Get him to get our other niece and nephew there."

Matt then looked at me. "Do I really need to put a shirt on?" I then stared at him. "I said go put a shirt on or else you don't get a pre-shift shower tomorrow." That got Matt to listen to me. Giving me a quick kiss, Matt whispered to me. "You my dear are very persuasive when you threaten to withhold sex from me." I laughed when he said that before watching him get up. "I am just going to go put some sweats on. We took a bath last night so, I am not dirty. I'll just put deodorant on later." I nodded and agreed. "Works for me." Matt nodded and smiled as he walked into his closet to get some sweats on.

Meanwhile, I went to text Antonio. 'Hey, we're up and know you're awake. Can we talk...I want to see Hannah and talk for a bit.' Waiting for a response, I went to grab my iPad when Antonio texted me back. 'Give me 5 and then call me okay? You should come over.' I agreed with him and sent him another text. 'My thoughts exactly. Listen, we'll talk about it on FaceTime. :)' Setting my phone down, I waited for Matt come back when I heard Matteo come into the room. "Mama, can I cuddle with you?"

Smiling at him, I nodded. "Come over here buddy. Daddy is just in the washroom." He nodded ands agreed, running over to me to join us in bed.
