I find Steve sitting outside staring at the floor, deep in thought. He looks beat. I sit next to him, wrapping my arms around him. "It's just the trial run. We can figure this out." I say it optimistically despite knowing the chance is unlikely to go anywhere. "What if we are just crazy? What if this is just impossible?" He asks pitifully. "Then we keep walking forward with our heads held high, and their memories in our hearts." I press a soft kiss to his lips. "Hiraeth." I say. He looks at me in confusion. "It's homesickness for a home that no longer or never existed." He smiles. "There's a four dollar word." I shrug.

"Word of the day. It's something we both have in common, isn't it? Anyways, we were able to walk through that. We can find a way to walk through this. Together." I insists. "You're giving me a run for my money on the inspirational card." I laugh. "You're wrong though. I'm not homesick. My home is with you, wherever you are." He tells me. I smile happily, then kiss him deeper then before. We don't break until a deafening noise breaks the silence in the distance. A car is speeding to the entrance. The window rolls down to reveal Stark.

"Why the long face? Let me guess: He turned into a baby." Tony predicts. "Among other things, yeah. What are you doing here?" Steve asks. We both stands fo greet him as he gets out. He ignores us, and goes to the trunk. "That's the EPR Paradox. Instead of pushing Lang through time, you might've wound up pushing time through Lang. It's tricky. Dangerous. Somebody should've cautioned you against it."

"You did."

"Oh, did I?" I shake my head in amusement at him. "Thank God I'm here. Regardless, I fixed it." He holds up his hand with a device on it. "A fully functioning Time-Space GPS. I just want peace. Turns out, resentment is corrosive, and I hate it." Tony admits. "Me too." Steve agrees. "We got a shot at getting these stones, but I gotta tell you my priorities: Bring back what we lost? I hope, yes. Keep what I got? I have to, at all costs. And... maybe not die trying will be nice."

"Sounds like a deal." They shake hands as a sign to put it all behind them. "So does that mean I no longer have to scold you like children, or is this temporary?" I jest. "Oh no, you'll always have to parent us. Not letting you off the hook that easily." Tony reaches into his trunk to pull out Steve's shield. Steve hesitate to take it. Steve told me what happened, so I know what it means to both of them. "Tony..."

"Why? He made it for you. Plus, honestly I have to get it out of the garage before Morgan takes it sledding." Steve takes it, and fits his arm to it. "Thank you, Tony."

"Will you keep that a little quiet? Didn't bring one for the whole team. We are getting the whole team, yeah?" I bite my lip. "We're working on that right now." Steve informs. "Just so you know, I will be taking credit for you showing up from now on. I'm going to be Steve, but upgraded." I decide, walking inside to announce the new arrival.

I had taken Rocket and Banner to New Asgard to get Thor, hoping they could help me knock sense into him. We wait to be greeted by Brunhilde as we step out of our car. "Kind of a step down from a golden palace and magic hammers and whatnot." Rocket says. Before I have the chance to snap at him, Bruce says, "Hey, have a little compassion, pal. First they've lost Asgard, then half the people. They're probably just happy to have a home."

"You have no idea." I mutter sadly, looking over our remaining people. They all act like normal humans. They've assimilated. But they never should have had to do so. Brunhilde walks over to us. "You shouldn't have come." She says. "We have to try." I remind her. "As we always do."

"Ah, Valkyrie! Great to see you, Angry Girl." Bruce greets. "I think I liked you better either of the other ways." She remarks. "We all do." I joke. "This is Rocket."
