With his one good arm, Bruce held the debris off those still together. Rhodey, Rocket, Clint, Natasha, and Scott were missing from the group. (Y/n) quickly noticed Steve on the ground, unconscious. She immediately got down next to him, panic rising within her. "Steve! Wake up!" She pleaded. Tony joined her, holding his shield. "Come on, buddy. Wake up."
"Please!" Finally his eyes open, scanning the area frantically. (Y/n) sighed in relief. "That's my man." Tony said, handing him the shield. "You lose this again, I'm keeping it." He told him. "What happened?" Steve asked. "You messed with time. It tends to mess back. You'll see." (Y/n) helped Steve to his feet, and they all walked out of the rubble and outside. Thor was already there, observing the field. At a distance, they could see him. The Titan that has haunted me for five years, (Y/n) thought. "What's he been doing?"
"Absolutely nothing."
"Where are the stones?" Steve asked. "Somewhere under all this. All I know is he doesn't have them." Tony replied. "Good enough for now." (Y/n) stated. "So we keep it that way." (Y/n) looked at Steve. "You know it's a trap, right?"
"Yeah. And I don't much care." Tony answered for him. "Good. Just as long we are all in agreement." Thor said. Thunder cracked as Thor stretched out both hands to summon both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir. His casual clothes transform into his armour. "Let's kill him properly this time." (Y/n) stomped her foot, which encased her in ice. When it shattered, the air around her seemed cooler. She's covered in frost, and armor adorned her form. "With pleasure." She agreed. Walking forward, (Y/n) was certain of one thing. They would not lose again.

They carefully stalked Thanos, surrounding him with determination in their eyes. "You could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive. But you've shown me that's impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist."
"Yep. We're all kinds of stubborn." Tony responded, remembering his fight on Titan. He refused to lose again. "I'm thankful. Because now, I know what I must do." Thanos stood, grabbing his perfectly balanced, double edged sword. (Y/n) was immediately on guard. "I will shred this universe down to its last atom. And then, with the stones you've collected for me, create a new one. Teeming with life, but knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given."
"It nearly killed you last time." (Y/n) tried. "You wouldn't be able to use them twice." Thanos turned his cold gaze to her. "You have no idea what I can do. I can create a grateful universe."
"Born out of blood." Steve interjected. "They'll never know it. Because you won't be alive to tell them." Thanos retorted. "We'll see about that." (Y/n) claimed. With a battle cry from Thor, all four of them launched into action. They attack with their respective abilities, a shield to the face, lighting at the chest, but Thanos was prepared.
Thor slammed his two weapons together which shot lightning. Tony's suit sucked up the energy, and he shot it out using his armored hands and his body. Thanos twirled his blade to divert the energy. Thor grabbed Stormbreaker and used it to bat Mjolnir to hit Thanos. Thanos used Tony as a shield resulting in damage to his system. (Y/n) encased him in ice then threw and dragged his body through the rubble. He quickly got back to his feet, barely dazed. She rushed him, sword at the ready, but Thanos grabbed her and threw her into the rock.
Steve triesd to attack Thanos but was easily thrown into some debris. Thor's attack on Thanos was blocked by his sword. The god was beaten and choked by Thanos. Mjolnir was flicked away as Thanos relentlessly beat up Thor, throwing him into a tree and socking him before throwing him over rubble and socking him again. Thor tried to grab Stormbreaker, but Thanos grabbed it and used it against Thor. Just as the axe was about to be shoved into Thor's chest, Mjolnir flew into Thanos, zoomed past, stopped, and flew back. Everyone is surprised to see the hand that it flew back to is Steve. A proud smile adorned (Y/n)'s face as she remembered that party oh so long ago. "I knew it!"
Thanos kicked Thor to the ground, and Steve proceeded to charge at Thanos, swinging Mjolnir, and hitting Thanos in the face, knocking him down. (Y/n) got up to join him. They nod in understanding, that they are stronger together. Steve threw his shield and Thanos deflected. While distracted with that, (Y/n) drove ice spikes in any unprotected target. Steve went on the offensive, throwing his shield first at Thanos, and quickly hitting it back at him again with Mjolnir. He lined his arm back up and underarmed a channel of lightning on Thanos. The Titan fell onto his back, and both (Y/n) and Steve launch over him. Steve with the lighting charged Mjolnir, (Y/n) with her sword ready for the kill.
Thanos grabbed Steve, ramming him into (Y/n). As they tried to stand, Thanos stabbed Steve on the leg, and knocked Mjolnir out of his hand. Thanos tried to swing his blade down on him, but (Y/n), who now held the iconic shield, defends him. She looked up at him, a certain fire in her eyes that unnerved him in a very deep corner.
"Thanos you do not want peace. You are not some sort of savior. You took people we all love away, and leave us with the memories of them. You had the power of the universe within your hands. You could have doubled resources, cured everyone, anything more to help people. But instead you tore half of them away, people who didn't deserve to go. No, you are no saint. You are no god. And you never will be." She realized this Thanos wouldn't understand the meaning behind those words, but she knew. She still remembered Loki's words. "You're a monster."
"Better a monster then an arrogant god." Thanos retorted. (Y/n) smirked. "It's not arrogant if I'm right." She used the shield to force him to his back. She iced his body besides his head, and intended to drive a pike through his head. Thanos' gauntleted hand broke from the ice, grabbed the spike, and lodged it into her shoulder before flinging her across the field. Steve attempted an attack, having regained the shield. Thanos gets the upper hand, and destroys the shield with his double-bladed sword, and throws him yet again. Steve staggeredly tries to get up.
"In all my years of conquest, violence, slaughter...It was never personal. But I'll tell you now, what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet, I'm gonna enjoy it. Very, very much." Thanos' entire army, thousands of alien soldiers, was summoned to the ground. Upon seeing the army descending on Earth, Steve slowly gets back to his feet. With a fierce determination, he tightens his broken shield to his arm. (Y/n) takes a stand next to him, ripping the spike out of her shoulder. Panting, she said, "What's the plan? If we die, walk it off?" He smiled very slightly at her. "Sometimes it's the only plan we have." Suddenly, a crackling came in on his communicator.
"Hey, Cap, you read me? Cap, it's Sam. Can you hear me?" (Y/n) scrunched up her face in confusion, hearing the voice. A yellow portal begins to form behind them. "On your left." The couple looked behind to see the portal on their left side. Three figures step through; Okoye, Shuri, and T'Challa, fully restored and ready to fight. Steve and the revived Wakandans share a look when Sam zooms in from above in his Falcon armor. Glee fills (Y/n)'s heart to see her friend.
Dozens upon dozens more portals open up all around the battlefield. Through one of them, they saw Doctor Strange descend in. He was joined by Drax, Mantis, Quill, and Peter Parker. Everyone watched in confusion and awe as more and more heroes arrived from all corners of the universe, all backed up with forces of their own. Wakandans and Asgardians and Masters of the Mystic Arts alike. Heroes upon heroes reappear. Bucky, Groot, Wanda, Hope, Pepper. Nearly every hero has magically been transported to the battlefield to face Thanos' hordes.
A gigantic Ant-Man emerges from the rubble of the Avengers facility with Hulk, War Machine, and Rocket. The Avengers, Guardians, Wakandans, Asgardians, and Ravagers take up battle positions. The heroes standing across Thanos' forces. Hope is restored in (Y/n) heart, and she finally believes that they can win. Her and Steve nod at each other, and she allows him to take the lead. "Avengers!" He summoned Mjolnir, "assemble."
