Mr Davenport's POV-

I held my head in my hands, wondering whether I should bother giving them the truth, wondering what good it'd do, wondering what would happen if I did. But mainly, I was wondering how much longer I could keep going here.

My ears pricked up at the sound of the huge, metal doors opening. Footsteps echoed the room, but there was something different about them. They weren't heavy and loud like Fisher's, no. These were lighter, more like small taps. High heels. I didn't bother looking up, still burring my head in my hands.

"What happened to Fisher?" I asked tiredly.

"Removed from the operation" a sweet, yet stern, voice replied.

I looked up slightly, noticing the agent's appearance. Tall, anorexic skinny, brunette, mid-thirties, tired, too much makeup, unmarried. That was the end of my deduction.

"His methods of extracting information from you weren't working. So, now, he's, let's just say, on a very long work leave".

I nodded, returning my gaze to the table in front of me.

I heard the officer clear her throat sarcastically.

"Sooner or later you're going to have to tell me, one way or another" she said, slamming her hands down hard on the table.

I flinched slightly, and looked up at the officer, confused.

"What d'you mean by 'one way or another?'" I asked, slightly worried.

The officer straightened up, giving me a slight smirk, before pacing around the room.

"If you don't openly give us the information we need, we're going to have force it out of you. I'm not talking about torturing you, well, not really. It'll be much more painful than that. If you don't give us what we want, then we'll kill your family, one by one, until their's no one left. We'll start with your wife, then your daughter, then your son, and, eventually, your step-son. And if you're still not able to help us out, then we'll kill the bionic one too. Everyone you've ever loved will die, right before your eyes, slowly driving you to insanity, and you won't be able to do anything to stop it, unless you start talking".

I gulped slightly. I knew that she was lying, but the look in her eyes were very convincing.

I took a deep, shaky, breath.

"You can do what you want with me," I told her, my voice only a squeak. 'But there's no need to harm my family. They did nothing wrong, it was all me!"

The officer raised an eyebrow and turned to the officer next to her.

"Bring the wife in" she told him seriously. "Use whatever force necessary".

"Yes ma'am" the police officer obliged.

The officer turned back to me, smirking slightly.

"You're gonna want to start talking soon, so spit it out!" The officer threatened.

"Fine!" I spat. I sighed. "Fine".

The officer smiled, turning back to the police officer and mumbled something to him. He nodded, and left the room. She sat down again and opening a large set of files.

"Allow me to start with what I know for sure," I told her, sighing. I took a deep breath and started explaining what was pretty much Chase's whole life story. "My brother, Douglas Davenport, and I were working on genetic DNA transplants. At the time, there was a world crises, and we wanted to help. We ended up implanting Chase with a bionic chip, wanting to use him to help people. Without my knowing, Douglas wanted to use him as a blueprint for a bionic army. So, once I found out, I did what any good scientist would do. I stole all of our research, as well as Chase, and raised him as my own, training him so that he could go on missions. I was always going to use him to help people, not against the world. I trained him for fifteen years of his life, since we gave him bionics at the age of four months old. And that's pretty much all there is to tell".

The officer looked me up and down before jotting something down on her files.

"And what abilities does the bionic 'hero' have?" She asked thoughtfully.

I leaned back in my chair, trying to remember them all.

"Well, there's a few to be honest" I said with a short laugh. The officer stared at me seriously. I cleared my throat before continuing. "Uh, let's see, he has super intelligence, molecular kinesis, force field, which he can also use to create a force field ball, super senses, which he's able to record if he wants, super durability, levitation, scan vision and his magnetism app." I took in a breath before continuing. "He may have unlocked more than that now, due to Douglas placing several abilities that I didn't know about." I looked at her for a minute, knowing that I was forgetting something. "Oh, and there's also Spike" I added once it came to me.

The officer raised her eyebrows and leaned forward, placing her hands on the table.

"What's a Spike?" She asked, suddenly interested.

"It's part of his Commando App" I told her.

"Commando App." She repeated. "Care to elaborate?"

"Whenever Chase gets angry or feels threatened, he turns into a ruthless, angry fighter, whom I like to call Spike" I explained.

"And, is this Spike dangerous?" She questioned calmly.

I hesitated.

"He can be" I replied truthfully. "But only because Chase has no control over him and also that Spike activates at extremely unnecessary moments. And, for the record, once Spike is deactivated, Chase has no memory whatsoever of the events that occur while he was Spike".

The office bit her lip and nodded slowly. She leaned back in her chair and stood up

"Right" she said, gathering her papers. "That may be a problem". She turned to the agents next to her. "Send that information to Facility X about Spike. They may need it urgently".

"Yes Ma'am" the other police officer acknowledged, walking out of the room. She turned back to me.

"Any other insight we should get towards the superhuman?" She asked, a slight tone of sarcasm hinted in her voice.

"He needs his capsule" I blurted out.

"His what?" The officer asked, blinking several times.

"His capsule. Without it, he may end up glitching and cause some serious destruction to the facility".

"I'll take note of it". The officer nodded and made her way out of the room.
