*Two years later*

Chase's POV ~

I was surrounded by at least a dozen others; each one of them looked practically identical, their faces unreadable. Hell, did they even have faces? The only evidence I could see of there ever being facial features on these guys were the light smudges of tanned skin and the hollow slits where their mouths and noses should be. The top half of their faces were covered, almost as if they weren't permitting me to see their eyes, in fear that I'd see right through them and straight into the darkness of their souls.
They were creepy - a sort of Voldemort meets the Shining creepy.

They were murderers, all twelve of them. It was obvious. The way they moved, the way they swung their weapons towards me, the way the only reason they missed was due to my bionics interfering with their aim. And now they were after me; the only course of action that could lead me to defeating them was to play like them. I had to kill them. All of them, cold heartedly.

I shrugged slightly as I jumped on the first man, who just happened to be standing next to me at them time. Convenient. I elbowed him in the head, just hard enough to daze him. I took my chance and pushed myself off of him, activating my Molecular Kinesis and flinging the man across the room. I heard a satisfying crack as the male crashed into the wall, dropping dead.
I grinned as I casually kicked the creeping man behind me in the stomach, turned around, and repeated my previous course of actions. Again, the man collided violently into the wall, plummeting down beside the other guy who'd reached the same fate. Man, these people are dropping like flies.
I moved to the next person in line, smirking gleefully up at him. Only, this guys wasn't as dumb as his colleagues. Before I could react, he managed to punch me square in the jaw. I gasped, not out of pain, but at the sight of a crimson liquid rolling down the side of my face and splattering on the floor. I glared at the smug grin forming on my attackers face, and kicked him equally as hard in the balls. He groaned as he stumbled backwards, causing two other men behind him to trip over as well. I chuckled to myself as I grabbed a stray gun, which seemingly appeared out of no where, and fired three shots. The flying bullets found their targets, resulting in three more dead men. I chucked the gun to the side; it was evidently out of ammunition.
Another guy tried sweeping my legs out from under me, but I punched him in the face before he could. Before the man could acknowledged what was happening, I climbed on his back and caught him in a headlock. The poor idiot tried desperately to claw away my arms from his neck, but it was no use. I had him. With one swift movement, I snapped the mans neck and jumped off his back before he toppled to the ground.
I recovered quickly, activating my force-field as a vengeful man threw an axe in my direction. It rebounded off and smacked it's master in the face, creating an all too vivid image that'll forever haunt me at night.
Then I took out another two with my magnetism app. In short, I sent their weapons flying out of their hands and then threw them at their heads, knocking them out cold - presumably dead. Good thing the two were carrying metal knifes, which are made from a pretty stupid material in my opinion; why the hell would someone make a knife out of metal!? Doesn't that completely defy their purpose?
I was knocked out of my thoughts, literally, as a sharp pain erupted from the back of my head. I fell to my knees and felt a heavy boot push me in the back, forcing me to lay face down on the ground. There was a loud crunch as something came into contact with my left arm, causing me to grimace.
I looked up as I felt the weight on my back suddenly disappear, and watched the rest of the men evaporate from view. I sighed as I attempted to sit up, cradling my sore arm.

"That was pathetic," Lahey yelled at me.

"But I took out nine men,"  I replied.

"Nine? And what about the other three?"
