Chase's POV

I sat on the edge of my bed patiently, fiddling with my fingers. I saw Gordon appear, talking to the guy that interrogated me on my first day. What was his name again? Tess, Agent Tess. Who said I had amnesia!? I watched as Gordon and Agent Tess spoke to each other for, what felt about, ten minutes. God, I Hope they aren't talking about what they did in the weekend!

Finally, Gordon nodded and opened the door for Tess. Gordon smiled at me and closed the door, leaving Tess and I alone.

"Hey there Chase" Agent Tess grinned. He handed me a paper bag.

I chuckled and smiled at him.

"Thanks Agent Tess" I said, stuffing the doughnut into my mouth greedily. "So, you're in the psychiatric department too?" I asked once I finished chewing.

He nodded and held his hand out for the bag.

I quickly handed it to him.

"Most of the people that work here have more than one job since it's such a small department. Keeps everyone busy".

I nodded. "How come Gordon seems to be the only one here not from America, New Zealand or Germany?" I asked, wondering this for a long time.

"What's with all the irrelevant questions all of a sudden?" Agent Tess asked, laughing.

I shrugged. "I can't bring myself to ask Gordon them for some reason" I admitted.

Tess nodded and sighed.  "Agent Gordon was originally from Scotland. He worked as a computer hacker for about seven years, until we finally caught him. He was the best hacker we'd ever seen, as he was able to crash our systems about eighteen times, even though we'd changed our proxy every time he hacked us and put extra security layers on. After awhile, he became a bit slack and let us catch him, and that's when the boss decided to make him work for us. He worked his way up the ranks and become one of the best agents the FBI has ever seen". Tess paused for a moment to let the information sink in.

I never imagined Gordon as a criminal.

Tess then continued. "He does quite a few genres of FBI work. Cyber work, obviously, field work and also the outrageous crimes, which he enjoys the most. You, Chase, you're one of the outrageous cases".

I nodded. "You've had other outrageous cases?" I asked, suddenly extremely curious.

Agent Tess grinned. "We've had some of those cases that you'd see on a Sherlock Holmes movie. One was exactly like one of the episodes in the BBC TV show Sherlock".

I snorted.

Tess raised an eyebrow. "It's true, actually. Ask any agent and they'll tell you".

"So, what was this ironic case?" I asked, intrigued.

"Pretty much it was like The Hounds of Baskerville. Except it wasn't in Baskerville, it was in India".

"And, what happened?" I prompted.

"Avoiding an extremely long story, basically a guy claimed he'd seen a gigantic hound that tore his family apart. In the end it was just a guy wearing a gas mask who worked for an illegal organisation called H.O.U.N.D. The family had found out too much about the Organisation so they were killed. The client was able to escape with the idea of a giant hound tearing them apart because the area they were murdered was filled with hallucinogenic fog".

I nodded. "Wow..." was all I could think to say.

Tess nodded. "Yep. Stumped our guys for a month until someone claimed they recognised the case as a Sherlock Holmes story, and that's how we solved it".

I nodded.

Agent Tess cleared his throat. "Right, before you ask anymore questions that'll bring us off topic, shall we start?"
