"I'm losing my grip!" The Cheerio that's holding my left foot calls out before I fall backwards and a guy catches me

"You think this is hard? Try being waterboarded. That's hard." Coach Sue says into the megaphone

"I can't believe she just dropped you, O." Quinn says as she's lowered back to the ground

"You want me to bitch slap her cause I will. I'll go all Lima Heights on her." Santana says

"No, it's fine, you guys." I say with a small laugh

"Hello, lovelies." I say with a warm smile as I set my lunch tray down on the table before sitting down beside Tina

"H-h-hello g-gorgeous." Tina greets me with a beaming smile

"Hey, Liv." Artie says with a warm smile

"How was practice this morning?" He asks me

"It sucked. I got dropped from the top of the formation and then Coach Sue yelled at us." I say

"W-wow. T-t-that sucks." Tina says

"Tell me about it." I say as I pour my ranch dressing on top of my salad

I walk past the bulletin board before backing up and taking a better look

My eyes fall on a sign up sheet for Glee Club

'Hm...wouldn't hurt to audition.' I think to myself

I grab the pen and quickly sign 'Olivia Hummel'

"Olivia Hummel!" Mr. Schuester calls out before I walk out onto the stage and over to the microphone with my guitar

"Hi, Olivia." He says with a big smile

"Hi, Mr. Schue." I say with a warm smile

"What're you gonna sing?" He asks

"I'm gonna sing a song that my mom and I used to sing together when I was little. It's called 'Like My Mother Does'." I say

"Alright, let's hear it." Mr. Schue says before I begin strumming the intro

(This is how I imagine she'd sing it. It starts the song at 1:36)

"People always say Iii have a laugh like my mother does. Guess that makes sense, cause she taught me how to smile when things get rough. I've got her spirit. She's always got my back. And when I look at her I think, I wanna be just like that. And when I looove I give it all I've got. Like my mother does." I sing into the mic

"And when I'm scaaared, I bow my head and pray. Like my mother does. When I feel weak and unpretty I know I'm beautiful and strong. Becaaause I see myself like my mother does." I sing

"I never met a stranger. I can talk to anyone. Like my mother does." I sing as I strum my guitar

"I let my temper fly. And she can walk away when she's had enough."
