"All right, let's, uh, let's gather around." Mr. Schue says as he walks into the choir room through is office and we all find a seat

I sit down beside Artie and theirs an empty chair on my left

"Sorry I'm late, guys. I was with Principal Figgins. Bad news, guys. Puckerman's in juvie." Mr. Schue says

"It really was just a matter of time." Artie and I say simultaneously causing us both to laugh

"What did he do?" Quinn asks

"He drove his mom's Volvo through the front of a convenience store and drove off with the ATM." Mr. Schue says causing Santana, Mike, Brit and I to laugh

"And when is he getting out?" Rachel asks

"Unknown." Mr. Schue says

"He might be the dumbest person on this planet, and that's coming from me." Brit says

"Guys! Let's have some sympathy." Mr. Schue says

"For a guy who put his needs before the team's? We need his voice and his bad-boy stage presence." Finn says

"We can't look at this as, as a crisis. It's an opportunity." Mr. Schue says

"For what? Further embarrassment and humiliation?" Quinn asks

"For welcoming our new member...Sam Evans!" Mr. Schue says before Sam jogs into the Choir room

"Sam-I-Am!" I say excitedly with a big smile

"There he is." Mr. Schue says

"Hey, everybody. I'm Sam...Sam, I am...And I don't like green eggs and ham." Sam says causing me to giggle

"Oh, wow. He has no game." Santana says

"Be nice." I say as I turn around in my chair and glare at her

"Okay! This is gonna be great. You're not going to regret joining, Sam." Finn says as he walks over and shakes Sam's hand

"Oh, good." Sam says

"Sam, you sit right here." Finn says as he points to the chair beside him

"No, Finny." I say

"I think I'm gonna sit by the pretty girl." Sam tells Finn before he walks over and sits down beside me

"So I'm a pretty girl?" I ask with a warm smile

"A very pretty girl." He says with a big smile

"All right! Question for the group." Mr. Schue says before I notice he's written 'Duets' on the whiteboard

"What's a duet?" Mr. Schue asks us

"A blanket." Brit says

"That's a duvet, babe." I tell her

"A duet is when two voices join to become one. Great duets are like a great marriage. The singers complement each other, push each other to be better. Now, some people may think.." Mr. Schue says before I turn my attention to Sam

"Why didn't you tell me you were joining Glee Club?" I whisper

"Wanted it to be a surprise. Are you surprised?" He whispers

"Yes. And super happy." I whisper with a big smile

"And that is what duets are all about. So, this week I want you to pair up and sing a duet. And, since you guys all seemed to love our little "Defying Gravity" diva-off, I'm making this a competition." Mr. Schue says
