"Five, six, seven, eight. Step, turn, out, in, ball-change, step ball-change step. You, you, you, you. And ba-ba-ba. Turn..." Mr. Schue says as just about everyone dances unenthusiastically

"Come on, guys, you're sleepwalking on me here. Give me some energy. We've got sectionals in two--" Mr. Schue starts

"Please, sectionals is going to be a breeze." Mercedes says cutting him off

"Maybe so. But if we coast through sectionals, we're gonna get killed at regionals. We have got to be on our games." Mr. Schue tells us before Kurt lets out a laugh as he stares at his phone

"Sorry. Funny Youtube. It's the grape stomping one." Kurt says

"Oooh, I love that one. Lemme see!" I exclaim as I rush over to him

"Competition." Mr. Schue says before pinning more photos up on the bulletin board

"Every one of these people or elements was a champion in their own right. But they used competing with each other to make themselves even better." Mr. Schue says as Matt drapes his arm over my shoulders and pulls me into his side

"I don't understand how lightning is in competition with an above ground swimming pool." Kurt says

"Just go with it. You guys have become complacent. You were great at the invitational, but you got to up your game if you want to get through sectionals. Okay, split up. Guys on the left side, girls on the right side." Mr. Schue says but none of us move

"Let's go, come on." Mr. Schue says before Matt pecks my lips and we all move to our assigned sides of the room

"All right." Mr. Schue says before Kurt begins walking over to the girls side

"Kurt." Mr. Schue says causing Kurt to walk back over to the boys

"Here's the deal. Two teams. Boys versus girls. One week from today, you will each perform a mash-up of your choice." Mr. Schue tells us

"What's a mash-up?" Puck asks

"A mash-up is when you take two songs and mash them together to make an even richer explosion of musical expression. Boys will perform on Tuesday, girls the next day. I want you guys to go all out, okay. Costumes, choreography. Whoever wins the competition gets to choose the number that we do for sectionals." Mr. Schue says

"Wait, who's going to be the judge? Your gender makes you biased." Rachel says

"Ah...There is going to be a celebrity judge." Mr. Schue says

"Wh-who?" Tina asks

"Oh, you're gonna have to show up to find out." Mr. Schue says as Santana loops her arm in mine

"We got this in the bag." Mercedes says

"Totally. I'm going to start story boarding our choreography tonight." Rachel says as we walk out of the choir room

"Okay, girls, we need to get started." Rachel says as she walks into the dance studio as Brit braids my hair

"We're getting warmed up." Santana tells her as she plucks her eyebrows

"Where's Quinn?" Rachel asks

"Probably down at the mall looking for elastic-waist pants." Britt says causing all of the girls except Rachel and I to giggle

"Mr. Schuester's right, you guys. We can't get complacent." Rachel says
