Chapter 14: Training

(Vivian's Pov)

After what happened yesterday, I was glad that I had amazing friends and Warren in my life to let me know I wasn't alone. I'm also thankful for my brother and Charles as well. That even though I'm going through a lot of shit, none of them give up on me and that's all I ever needed in life...I mean I know I have my brother regardless but still.

After me and the others had lunch yesterday, I was so damn exhausted that we came home and pretty much slept through the rest of the night and meaning that I missed my lecture from my brother so now I'm going to have to prepare for that later on today because I know it's coming, I know my brother.

Anywho, I fluttered my eyes open to the sun shining through my bedroom window. I sighed and groaned as I sat up and rubbed my face tiredly. I yawned and stretched a bit and looked at the time seeing it was 8am. I sighed as I hopped out of bed and stretched again making sure everywhere was popped.

I headed to my dresser and picked out simple grey sweatpants and tanktop. I threw on one of Logan's flannels over it and put my hair in a messy bun. I slid on my shoes, grabbed my books and headed out of my room and downstairs to the kitchen seeing my friends and also Logan.

I sighed and braced myself for what's coming "Viv" Logan said...welp here it is. I walked over to him and set my books on the counter, "Morning" I said as I grabbed a mug and poured myself a cup of coffee, "So what's the lecture gonna be about today?" I asked, Logan looked confused "What?" He asked,

I laughed "The lecture you're about to give me?" I asked, he still looked confused "I wasn't gonna give you a lecture" He said, my eyes widen "woah. Who are you and what have you done to my brother?" I asked, he chuckled a bit "Look, you're an adult now and I trust you that you know what you're doing and the decisions you make. What you do with your life is none of my deal, but just be careful okay?" He stated,

I smiled softly and nodded "I will James" I said and hugged him which made him groan "Alright, alright get off me" he said, I laughed "Aw you love it" I said, he rolled his eyes which made me giggle as I grabbed my books and went over to the others "Did he give you the big scary lecture?" Scott asked,

I laughed "Surprisingly no, he told me I'm an adult and can do what I want, he just told me to be careful" I said, the others chuckled a bit "Well that's a relief" Warren said, I giggled and sipped my coffee, "Heading back to class?" Ororo asked, I just nodded "I have to train today, hard. No matter what it takes" I said,

The others smiled "Dedication, nice" Peter said, I just chuckled and nodded as we just chatted until it was time for class. When it was, I said bye to the others, grabbed my books and headed to Charles' office. I walked in to see him writing some things on his chalkboard, he looked at me and smiled "Ah Good Morning Vivian" he greeted,

I smiled "Morning Professor" I said and took a seat and set my books down "how are you feeling this morning?" He asked, I sighed a bit "I'm doing okay. Thank you" I said, he smiled "Me and the others care about you very much" He said, I smiled bashfully "Thank you for not giving up on me" I said,

He smiled "You're not only one of my students but you're my friend, I would never give up on you Vivian" He said, I just smiled and nodded which made him smile "ready to get to work? We have a lot to learn today" He stated, I smirked a bit "Let's do it" I said, he chuckled "Such dedication. Good" He commented, I chuckled and nodded as we started to get to work.

We worked more on a lot of mind work. Charles had me do some timed tests and meditation to see how fast my brain works. Then he wanted to look inside my head because maybe there's something in there that'll help me control my abilities or see if there's something blocking me from doing so.
