Chapter 35: The Underwater Temple

Noelle re-cast Sea Dragons Cradle with everyone inside, "yes, I did it!". "Way to go Noelle" said Asta, "but we have a problem". Grey decided that they didn't take up enough room in the cradle, so they brought a giant floaty which was crushing everyone. "Did you seriously need to bring the ring!?" shouted Magna. "Should I kill Grey?" said Luck. "For once I agree with you Luck!" replied Asta. "Come on, change into someone smaller!" said Finral. Grey then changed into Charmy, much to the relief of everyone inside the cradle. "Well, is that better peons?" said Grey while rubbing the back of their heads. "Now let's shrink the attitude!" shouted Asta in reply.

"Good work Noelle" said Yami as he placed his hand on Noelle's head, "now just keep this up until we reach the temple". "Just leave it to me!" said Noelle as she made the cradle go into the sea. Once they got deep enough, they reached the strong currents of the strong magic region. "I thought they were supposed to be weaker!" shouted Magna as he started to sweat. "What's wrong Magna? Scared of some water? Is it because you're a fire mage?" said Luck as he started to elbow Magna. "You're scared of water!? You made fun of me because I can't swim but you're afraid of water!?" shouted Asta as he grabbed Magna and started shaking him, "you damn hypocrite!". "I'm not scared, I'm rationally concerned!" shouted Magna in reply, "and stop shaking me!". "Would you idiots stop shouting!? I'm trying to concentrate!" shouted Noelle, causing everyone to quiet down.

Not long after entering the currents, they were able to make it through and clear them. Once they were clear, the sight was nothing short of breathtaking, species of fish and other marine life no one has ever seen before and not to mention some of them were literally glowing with mana. "Is that fish glowing!?" said Magna as he took off his sun-glasses to get a better look at the fish. "It looks like some species evolved differently because of the mana down here" replied Yami. "I wonder how they taste!" said Charmy as she and Grey pulled out a fork and knife. Both tried to jump out of the cradle but were picked up by the collar by Magna, "oh no you don't! Were you idiots really ready to die over a little bit of food!? And Grey, we really don't need another bottomless pit!".

In front of the group was a dome covered by multiple whirlpools. "We can't get through that!" said Noelle. "Alright kid, looks like you're up" said Yami as he pointed at Asta. "Uh sir, you remember I can't swim right?" said Asta, "how am I gonna get over there?". "Simple" said Yami as he grabbed Asta by the head and lifted him up, "off you go!". Before Asta could protest, Yami threw Asta out of the cradle and towards the dome. Asta then pulled out the Demon Slayer sword and pierced through the dome and landed face first on the ground. Asta tried to get up but was stopped when the Sea Dragon Cradle dropped on his back. "Why is it always me!?" shouted Asta, while being muffled from his face still being in the dirt. "Break time's over kid, let's go" said Yami as he pulled Asta out of the dirt by the collar.

The group walked till they reached what looked like a village where the building seemed to be part of the sea floor itself. "Woah! Look at this place!" said Asta as he and the rest of the squad looked around in awe. They then noticed people who seemingly lived in the underwater dome. Asta was concerned that they would be attacked....but in reality they were swarmed like they were celebrities. "I thought this place would be dangerous like a dungeon! I was not expecting this!" said Asta as he was swarmed with people asking multiple questions about the outside world. "Reality is often disappointing" said Yami as he took a puff of his cigarette. "As much as the attention is nice" said Vanessa as she took a sip of her bottle of wine, "we should probably look for someone who knows about the magic stone". "Good idea" said Yami before turning towards the crowd and giving them a threatening glare, "hey, bring out the boss of this temple if you know what's good for you". "Why are you threatening them!?" said Asta in response to Yami's murderous glare. "Yes sir! That would be the High Priest!" said a man as he mimicked Yami's face. 'It's become a trend!?' thought Asta. "The Priest is all the way up those stairs" said a lady as she pointed to a large set of stairs. 'This is way too easy!' thought Asta.
