"Leo!", the sound of his brother calling him causes Leopold to turn his head away from the fight and to his brother. "Do you need assistance?" asked Fuegoleon, causing his Leo to smirk before turning back to his opponent with his hands covered in fire. "No we don't!" shouted Leopold in reply. "That's what I like to hear" said Fuegoleon, "you know what you need to do so get it done!". 'Whoa these two are intense as brothers!' thought Asta. "Are you serious!?" said Rades while laughing, "their magic affinities don't mix well! It's not like I'd let you help them anyways!"
Rades stopped laughing when the flaming lion head of Fuegoleons Leorzenas spell appeared behind the Magic Knight Captain. "Forgive me, but I will not be controlling the intensity of this flame", Fuegoleon then made the lion head blast a massive torrent of flame at Rades and Alfred. 'That's some insane fire power!' thought Asta as he brought his hands up to protect his face from the heat. Once the flames subsided, it was revealed that Rades and Carl were completely unharmed. "Carl's specialty is barrier magic! Plus with my curses added onto it, his barriers are even stronger" said Rades as he began to laugh, "we could do this all day and you wouldn't get closer to beating me!".
'He's bringing out more curses!?' thought Asta as he remembered the curse Jimmy had given him. 'My anti-magic can nullify it!' thought Asta as he pulled out one of his blades and struggled to stand up. "Asta. Do you remember what I said earlier?" said Fuegoleon, "watch carefully". "Don't start acting calm now!" said Rades as Carl began to send projectiles at Fuegoleon, "he can do more than just defend!". Fuegoleon then used Flame Creation Magic: Igunus Columna to surround himself in a pillar of flame. The flames of Igunus Columna destroyed Carl's projectiles on contact. "You really think that you can beat Carl in a battle of barrier spells?!" said Rades, "you're even dumber than I thought Captain Fuegoleon!"
'Come on Asta get up! Help him! thought Asta as he struggled to stay standing as he watched the stalemate of Fuegoleon and Carl. 'I got to help him', Asta then pulled out one of his swords and prepared to attack. "Asta stop! You still need to recover your stamina!" said Liebe as he appeared beside Asta. "I can't just stand by and watch!" said Asta as he tightened his grip around his sword.
"Well! What do you think of Carl's ironclad defense and super barrage!?" shouted Rades in a mocking tone, "well!? Feeling helpless yet!?". "I certainly can't touch you right now" said Fuegoleon without a hint of worry in his voice. "Ha! I knew it! You're powerless against my power!" shouted Rades as the intensity of Carl's attacks increased, "prepare to die Crimson Lion King!".
As soon as Rades finished speaking, a thin blast of blue flame shot out of the Ignus Columna and not only pierced Carl's shield, but also Carl himself. "Flame Magic: Sol Linea" said Fuegoleon as Carl ignited on fire and quickly became ash. "The moment you attack , for the briefest moment your barrier weakens in certain spots, I simply aimed for those spots" said Fuegoleon. "I have fought countless types of difficult magic" said Fuegoleon before turning to Leopold and Noelle who were still in combat with their corpse. "Listen well! As Magic Knights you will go up against countless types of powerful mages and magic! When that happens, analyze the enemy's ability and maintain a bold fighting spirit, do this and you will never lose!" shouted Fuegoleon, causing Leopold to ignite with fire while Noelle prepared her wand, "yes sir!" shouted the two in reply.
'He took down that corpse like it was nothing! He immediately found that things weakness and even psyched up Noelle and Leopold at the same time' thought Asta as he grew an excited smile, 'So this is a Magic Knight Captain! Man he's awesome.... If only Yami did this instead of threatening to kill us'. "N-no way... you beat my strongest corpse.....you...you!" said Rades as he began to shake with anger. "Rades wasn't it?" said Fuegoleon, "you may possess impressive magic and have polished them to their finest, but without spirit they are nothing but violence! No one will acknowledge something like this!" shouted Fuegoleon. "No,no,no no!" shouted Rades in anger, "I'm the greatest! My magic is the strongest I can't lose to you Magic Knight bastards! I...I-". Rades was interrupted as he felt the fist of Asta send him into a wall, "...talk too much" said Asta as he finished Rades sentence.
