1. this is another all for the game fic (original series by nora sakavic), so let's get one thing straight from the get-go: these characters are flawed. this series is problematic. i am not endorsing anything portrayed/discussed/etc in this fic. the original series is a dumpster fire, but i'm so far up fanon's ass that i barely remember what is and isn't canon anymore.
2. anyone who's read aftg... y'all know canon aaron is a homophobic dick. fanon/dgw aaron will not be a homophobic dick (well... he won't be homophobic i'll tell you that much). also mara's kind of a bitch (it's the trauma <3) so they're quite literally the grumpy/grumpy trope. no sunshine to be found in either of them individually (together, though... 👀)
