POV Merida

I'm not nervous, not at all. Just feeling quite relaxed and calm, nothing can make me unease. Nothing.

"Are you ready Merida?" My father's hand touched my shoulder and I flinched. Quickly I glance at the bouquet of flowers that I'm holding. It starts to shake in my hands.

"Daddy, no I'm not!" I said with panic starting to rise from deep inside of me. The double doors swung open and I heard the music playing. Everyone's attention was now coming towards us and my father gave me his arm which I reluctantly took.

"Merida, you're the bravest girl but even the bravest can be nervous. Just think of him as your target that you'll aim and hit. Be like an arrow flying through the air and hitting on him straight into his face. Just stare at the target, that's it," My father spoke to me calmly as we took first steps forward. The dress felt odd on me.

Then I saw Hiccup smiling, his eyes met mine and he had pure happiness showing from him. I smiled back, my body started relaxing as my heart was calming down. My feet kept kicking the wide rim of the dress forward.

On the right are people close to me, Anna with Kristoff. She managed to come after all, Punzie is here also with Flynn. And my annoying brothers who stand next to my mother who keeps on wiping her eyes into napkin.

I glance to left quickly and I see Jackson Overland, his hand is around Elsa's waist in protective way as they stand up.

This is it. Time for me to be Mrs. Haddock. Why did I choose his name in the first place! Oh well, maybe I get used to it. Merida Haddock.

Hiccup starts walking towards us and meets us on the half way. He bowed to my father before taking my hand. He leads me the rest of the way to altar. "Glad that you weren't a runaway bride," he teased me with his bad tasted joke that he got from a movie that he made us both watch yesterday.

"I'm not a coward," I gulped out as my hand squeezed his arm.

"Because you aren't," he hummed and we walked on the altar.

Then it became the time of our vows. Hiccup inhaled deeply and then smiled.

"I promise to love and to hold you, but never chain you down. You're free as the wind that I feel gently breezing against my skin. I'm honored to have such a beautiful, strong willed independent woman as my equal pair, to have her love. I can't say that you're mine since you're not the type to be owned. I just wish that I own your heart, that it beats for me since my heart beats for you," Hiccup said his words lovingly, making me loss my thought. I just saw him, nothing else mattered around us. I notice how his cheeks blushed after saying his vow he ran his hand through his hair and I notice that even now he has done couple small braids into his hair.

"My turn," I whispered and I took his hands in mine.

"You're already the one who has chained me. These chains are something that cannot ever be broken. I'm chained to you with the chain of love. You might not be the strongest man in the world but you're smart and kind. I need someone like you, to make me whole," I said to him. He was smiling really awkwardly and it made me laugh a little, which I tried to conceal.

Then it was time for the priest to announce us husband and wife.

"-And now you may kiss the bride," the priest said loudly and I held my breath.

Hiccup's hand gently brushed against my cheek just before he leaned in. "I love you," he said quietly before his lips touched mine. My hands went around his waist.

This was our first kiss as a husband and wife. My heart throbbed as my body felt like melting. Our lips moved in perfect sync. I closed my eyes, my body felt like it was turning into liquid that would end up as a calm stream. He was making me melt. Then he parted from the kiss, I still felt the sensation of his lips against mine. The heat that rose to my cheeks made my head turn red.
