POV Merida
Why isn't he waking up? "Hiccup!" I called him and pushed him from his shoulder again. "Just a little longer," he muttered in his sleep and I groan. "YOUR PHONE IS RINGING!" I shouted to him and he startled awake. I chuckled to his hair that had gone messy while he was sleeping.
"Wha! Is it the end of - the world?" Hiccup yawned. "No but your ringtone sounds like somebody is being killed," I sighed. It was the Imperial March from Star Wars.
"Who is it?" I asked and Hiccup reached to his phone. "Jackson. This tone warns me," Hiccup chuckled.
"Yup, Hiccs here," he responded and I yelped when he pulled me against his chest. He winked his eye and listened what Jackson had to say.
I snuggled against his chest and kiss his shoulder but I noticed that he had gone tense. Something changed and I look at Hiccup. He is pale looking and he is just repeating the word 'yes' to phone all over again.
When he ended the call he rubbed his temples. "Something is clearly wrong. What was it?" I questioned but Hiccup laughed nervously.
"Nothing for you to worry about. Listen, Jackson had a thing which he needed me for. You can get ready and take whatever you want from the fridge. Oh, would you feed Toothless too? I'll go out right now," he said quickly and gave a peck kiss to my cheek.
I pull the cover on me better when he stands up from the bed. He starts to pull his pants back on. "Why won't you tell me. I can handle things," I murmured.
"Because it's something between me and Jackson. He needed my help, that's all," Hiccup says as he pulled his shirt back on.
"Again those secrets of yours. I mean it took you forever to tell me about that leg of yours and it's not even a big deal!" I snapped at him. Without saying anything he walks back to bed.
"Someone's a bit jealous, huh?" He hummed and messed up my hair. "Sorry that I have to go," he whispered to my ear and runs to door. I can hear him running downstairs.
"Great, you just left me here in your home," I pouted and crossed my arms.
Wait. He just left me at his home. Alone. Epic.
I start to go through his stuff and I found out that he is really obsessed with Star Wars and some Dungeon game. Maybe I should stop my search. Even his cat, Toothless, is glaring at me.
"Oh, your breakfast!" I laughed and Toothless started purring. We went downstairs to Hiccup's kitchen and I decided to do my own breakfast. I took out some pans and ingredients and I started to make pancakes.
Note to myself. Never do pancakes. Never again or just buy premade ones and add some nice jam on them.
This is what I figured out when firemen are carrying the burned stove out from his apartment.
POV Elsa
The cold wall smoothens the pain on my back. Yesterday Tai Lung wanted to use me as his punching bag. One after another he kicked or hit me on my back while Scar kept me still. At least I think that it was yesterday. They don't let me sleep, as soon as I shut my eyes one of them rushes to room, just to give me at least one single slap.
My head is feeling heavy and my chin hits on my chest as I go in and out from consciousness. I pull my legs against me and I hold myself in embrace. I just want this to end. My body is numb from the cold and the pain which they have created.
I'm slowly giving in to my tiredness and I close my eyes. I inhale and exhale calmly for couple times and I feel warmer as I'm falling to sleep. The world of dreams can take me out from this place, comfort me in this time of distress.
