Chapter 6

       River

   The next day at lunch I went down to the great hall, the quidditch game would be starting soon after lunch so i put on leggings and a black shirt that said my last name on the back in white lettering. I obviously wouldn't be getting a real uniform so i made the best out of what I had. I sat down at the end of the table, Pansy and Draco sat across from me with Flint by my side. They began eating but i didn't really have an appetite, I put my chin in my hand and stared over Draco's shoulder looking out of the window where trees were blowing in the wind.

     " When does the game start?" Pansy asks stuffing a piece of bread into her mouth, Draco rolls his eyes and looks away from her in disgust.

     " After lunch, 12:30" he replies staring down at his plate, he still seemed upset, i assumed it was because of what happened yesterday but i couldn't be sure.

     Blaise seemed to keep his distant a lot lately, i mean i did break his nose but he doesn't even sit with Draco anymore which is odd because they were like best friends.

     " Don't you have to eat before the game? Nobody wants to see you falling off your broom, They have to end the game when that happens and it's really annoying." Pansy says staring at me, she just added another fear to my list. I never fell off my broom or did anything stupid on the field but i haven't played in almost a year, I could suck.

I stared down at my plate in disgust, eating right now would make me want to throw up. " Oh gosh, don't tell me your like one of those anorexic girls." Draco turns his head to me when Pansy said that, So did Flint and Blaise who was sitting only two people away from Draco. " I honestly cannot deal with that, they are so annnoy-"

" I'm not anorexic." I say quieter than i had expected.

Pansy looked at Draco and shrugged, " Wait are you really-" Draco begins to say with a smirk on his face but i look up and glare at him.

   " No you dumbasses." I turn back to my empty plate and stare at it blankly.

     " The game is starting in 10 minutes, we need to go." Draco says standing up, Me and Flint follow him out side to the field. It was a pretty windy day but i think i could handle it.

      Draco's POV

     I lead them out to the windy field where the rest of the team was, They all look at River like she was insane.

    " As you all know Flint made me the new team captain" I said proudly, Adrian sneered and nudged Crabbe making fun of me. " Have something to say Adrian?" I ask with attitude, His smile drops and he looks at me awkwardly.

    " No..."

       " Thats what i thought, Get on the field before i kick one of you off the team. Higgs i can see you so stop mocking me." I say quickly

    " Wait, Why is the new girl playing with us?" Crabbe asks scrunching your his eye brows. River looked around with her arms wrapped around her stomach, i noticed she did that when she was nervous about being the center of attention.

   " Well since she went rogue and broke Blaises nose she decided to step in and play in his place." I look back at her, her blue eyes met with mine. I raise my eye brows at her then turn back to the team.

     Adrian scoffs " You couldn't have chose anyone else?" He asks annoyed.

     " Seriously, why would you want a girl to be on our team? Even Goyle could be better than a girl." Miles says jumping into the conversation.

    " If he could even get on the broom without breaking it." Adrian replies, the team laughs causing me to roll my eyes. They really annoyed me sometimes.
