River
About three days had passed and Draco was still no where to be found, I would have sent a letter out to Narcissa to ask if he was there but it didn't seem appropriate.
I kept going to my classes like usual but steered away from the great hall as often as i could, eating wasn't a priority and neither was seeing all those hateful eyes lay on me for every move i make.
I don't think i've ever felt as worthless as i have for these past three days, it's like it was a cycle of waking up and going to classes then laying back in bed and going to sleep again.
I've been through this before but not as bad, usually Adrian would pull me out of this depressive state when me and Draco would fight but no one has seemed to notice or even care.
It had only been three days and i already wanted to just disappear.
" Did you hear me?" I snapped back into reality to only realize i was still in potions, Severus was talking about a random potion I wasn't even paying attention to. He raised an eye brow at me, " Whats going on with you River? You were the top of my class just a few days ago." He asked stepping towards me suspiciously.
I put my elbows on the desk and stared at the ground, " Just... tired." I replied blankly.
The class didn't seem to pay attention to our conversation, they just continued making whatever potion Severus had ordered them to like usual.
" I expect to see you after class today, no exceptions." He then back away from my desk and walked back to the front of the room.
I sighed and put my head down, Miles wasn't in class today so there was an empty seat next to me. Adrian however was about to burn his face off with whatever concoction he was brewing on the other side of me.
Still keeping my head on the desk i turned it to look up at him, he was looking at his book like he wanted to rip the pages out and never come back to this class again. Potions had that effect on people.
" Crush it don't cut it." I explained.
He noticed me staring at him and jumped a little, "When did you get here?" he asked oddly.
I rolled my eyes and picked my head up, " I've been here since class started pucey." I replied blankly.
I closed my book and shoved it in my bag aggressively, he raised an eye brow at me and stared down at his ingredients. " I fucking hate this class." He muttered.
I scoffed, " You and me both."
He stared down at me his face softening a little, "Still no sign of Malfoy?" He asked adding the ingredients.
I stared at the wall and shrugged, "Nope."
If the dark lord knew Draco was at the Manor he would most likely be killed so let's just hope Voldemort hasn't randomly shown up like he does sometimes.
Adrian sighed, " Dunno, maybe his father called him home or something." He said staring into his cauldron, obviously something was missing because it did not look like Severus's example at all.
I ignored his comment and stared down at his book, "What are you supposed to be making?" I asked confused to why he was so bad at this.
Adrian groaned dramatically and threw his head back, " I don't even know."
The bell then rang, he made a weird cheerful sound before grabbing his books and running out of the door.
I hate this class too but jeez.
