Chapter 13

Draco

After practice I walked down to the Owlery to send my father a note, this thing with Astoria has been going on for way to long and frankly i was fed up with it.

No one was in the owlery considering it was only 30 minutes until curfew so i quickly scribbled down what i needed to on a piece of paper and sent it away with an owl.

I walked back up to the common room where Adrian and River were, they came down here at this time pretty often to study so i shouldn't have expected anything else but i still had wished she would be down here alone. I needed to talk to her about what was going on but i knew i couldn't do that until my father confirmed my letter.

They both looked back at me but once River got a glance at me she immediately turned back to her books.

"Hey Malfoy." Adrian said as I stood in the doorway still.

I paused, confused to why he was talking to me if i completely betrayed both of them. " Hey..." I replied my voice a little shaky, even River's presence made me nervous.

" Can you help us with a problem in potions?" He asked putting his arm on one of the cushions that was behind her. I knew they were just friends but it still made me furious.

I nodded and walked over to them keeping my composure, " Which question?" I asked awkwardly.

He looked over River's shoulder, " What ingredient's are used in the Shrinking Solution?" He read turning back to me raising his eye brows.

I paused for a moment thinking, "Um..." I looked up then remembered what Snape had taught last week, "Should be Minced daisy roots, Peeled Shrivelfig, Sliced caterpillars, rat spleen, leech juice, cowbane,
and...Wormwood" I replied honesty surprised i remembered it all.

River looked up at me when i finished talking, she had bags under her lids and her eyes didn't have that sparkle in them anymore. I felt so guilty knowing it was all my fault, i should have gone to my father before it could become this bad.

I watched as Adrian looked over her shoulder again and circled the answer, " Wow okay thanks Dray- Draco, i meant Draco." Adrian said, he used to call me Dray but stopped when the random girls who were obsessed with me starting saying it.

" Gay." I said loud enough for him to hear, i turned for the stairs when he threw a pillow at me. I chuckled a little before disappearing up the stairs.

I got into the shower once i finally got back into my dorm, since it was almost an hour past curfew now almost all my roommates were sleeping so i got the shower without a fight.

It was about 6am, i was staring out of the window that was beside my bed. I haven't been able to sleep for about three days now, I don't really understand why because usually i would want to go to sleep to get away from all my thoughts but now, i just physically couldn't.

The light began to seep through the windows indicating i should probably get up and get ready before Pansy could start yelling at me for taking up the whole mirror. I swear she acts like i won't rock her shit again.

I stood up weakly and walked over to the vanity, The bags under my eyes were getting worse each day. I ignored it and put concealer in the places i needed it, I put mascara on and lipgloss because i didn't feel like doing much with myself today.

I looked in the mirror again, i actually looked like a human with makeup on.
