I walked downstairs in a causal short silky red dress, Draco and lucius were sitting on the couch together. Lucius had a small cup of fire whiskey that he was sipping on, they both looked over to me as i walked into the room looking through my purse to make sure i had my wallet.

I looked over at them both, Lucius's eyes widened at the look of me.

" You look... nice." Draco said staring at my dress.

" Thank you," I paused and watched as Lucius chugged the rest of his drink. " I just wanted to say Thank you, Lucius." They both looked at me surprised, "I know you shouldn't have agreed to let me see my mother considering it goes against the dark lords wishes but i'm very thankful you allowed this." he looked over at draco and set his drink down on the coffee table.

" I don't want a thank you, i just want you to follow through with your task. You are to promise me you'll finish the task. without dying." He crossed his arms over his chest and stared at me dead in the eye.

I didn't hesitate before nodding, " I was planning on it." I turned towards the door walking away from them without another word. I knew he thought i couldn't do it but killing Dumbledore would be easier than people made it out to be.

I got to the restaurant about 20 minutes later, it was a pretty fancy place, there were chandeliers hanging from the ceiling making the room very bright almost hurting my eyes. The music that was playing was classical and very slow paced.

I noticed Hermione waving me over to one of the back tables, i made my way over to them and sat across from the two of them.

Hermione was wearing a gold silk top and black ripped jeans, she looked really nice with her hair straightened.

" Hi!" She said hugging me over the table with a smile, she sat back down. " How have you been through the break?" She asked putting her elbows on the table.

" oh i've been pretty good." I wasn't going to add the whole being hit by my father and finding out almost everything about my mother part. " How about you two? i feel like we haven't talked in ages!" I added.

A smile grows on their faces, " Well," Harry said looking over at Hermione, " Me and Hermione have... realized some things." They turned back to me. I looked at them confused then realized what they meant when i saw his hand on her knee.

" Oh-" i said surprised, they look back at each other worriedly.

" I know it's confusing-"

" No no, i completely support you two, i was just caught off guard." i paused " that's all." They smiled with relief.

"Thank you River." Hermione said gratefully.

The waiter came over shortly after, i just ordered a salad with a water. I wasn't really hungry.

" I'll have the..." Hermione stared at the menu for a moment, " Sirloin steak." The waiter nodded and grabbed her menu before walking away.

" So River," Harry began to say, " What's up with you and Malfoy?" Hermione rolled her eyes with a smile.

I paused and stared at the table for a moment, so much had happened lately the thought of me and Malfoy was just very confusing. " Well... we are uh..." I thought for a second, " Friends?" I said not sounding very convincing, Harry scoffed and took a sip of his drink.

" Malfoy is never friends with any girls unless he wants them to be his hoe." Hermione nudged his arm and gave him the death stare. " I mean- Anyone other than you of course." I clenched my jaw, i knew what people thought of me because me and Malfoy seemed to be getting closer.
