CAITLIN POV:

There are times in an individual's life when it is necessary to exclude people, erase memories, throw away what hurts us and let go of things that hold us back. However, what happened to me is not at all a normal event, as I wasn't the one who wanted to "forget" a person, but I was the forgotten person. In other words, from one minute to the next, all the people who knew me stopped knowing me... It was as if my entire existence had been erased from the memories of the people and the memory of the city, as there was no legal record that mention my name.

And now you ask, but how is it possible for everyone to forget about one person? Well, the answer to that question is quite simple, although at first I didn't knew the answer. This whole situation is the fault of only one person named BrainWasher, a meta-human who appeared in Central City two days ago. BrainWasher used its powers to make people forget that a crime had been committed in their shop or residence.

It all happened on a Wednesday mid-afternoon, when the alarm on the cortex's central computer sounded. From the looks of it, there was suspicious meta-human activity at the Central City Bank. While Harry and Cisco were trying to look for more information about what was going on, me, Barry and Wally went to gear up. As soon as we arrived at the bank, we went to Joe, as the CCPD was called in due to the existence of hostages.

After Joe informed us that there were twenty adults inside, of which only six were bank employees and seven children, the three of us, that was me, Barry and Wally were outlining our plan of attack so that none of the civilians come out hurt. Once our plan was in place, we took action. However, things started to turn sour in the midst of our confrontation with the meta-human.

Our plan was that while Wally and Barry were trying to fight the meta-human, my mission was to free the hostages. First, I tried to get all the children out of there, handing them over to Joe's "guard" and then I went to get the adults. After making sure all the hostages were safe in CCPD guard, I went back inside the bank, this time to help my friends fight the meta-human. I had just entered the bank when I saw a white light coming out of the meta-human's palm and that this white light was directed at Barry. Without thinking twice, I put myself in front of him and took the light right in the middle of my chest.

I don't remember much what happened, I just know that I woke up in a warehouse that was located in the fishing zone of Central City. And it was from this moment that the worst days, weeks and months of my life began. One of the first things I noticed as soon as I woke up, apart from the space I was in, was the fact that I was no longer wearing the Killer Frost suit.

Even though my head was in such a mess, I could only concentrate on the fact that Barry might be hurt, as I don't know how the confrontation with this afternoon's meta-human ended, so I called a taxi and headed to STAR Labs. As soon as I got to the cortex and saw him sitting there at my desk safe and sound, I just managed to run to his edge and hug him.

"I'm glad you're fine," I said as I hugged him.

"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" asked Barry, pulling me away from him.

- You're kidding, right? Of course you know me, it's Caitlin Snow.

"How did you get in here?" asked Cisco.

- With my pass clearly.

- Ah, you are one of the new interns. Welcome to STAR Labs, the best laboratory in the world.- said Cisco smiling.

- Are you all right? - I asked not realizing what was going on. - Ah, I know! This is one of your pranks, isn't it Cisco?! Let me just tell you this isn't fun.

Although I thought this was a prank, I admit that their facial expressions are Oscar-worthy. If I don't know them that well, I would think they don't really recognize me. Determined to end this game, I started looking for a camera, as Cisco liked to record his pranks for later.

- Are you feeling all right? Maybe we'd better call George.

- You're really serious, aren't you? You really don't recognizing me.

"No." replied Barry, Cisco and Harry at the same time.

- My name is Dr. Caitlin Snow and I've been working here for four years, but if you want proof, let me show you.- I said, approaching the computer that was on my desk.- But how come?!

When searching my name in our databases, I got no response. It just said that this name did not exist in the STAR Labs database, which is not possible. Then I decided to broaden my internet search and found the same results. It was like someone had erased my existence!

- Sorry, but I have to go. - I said picking up my things and I left STAR Labs.

I went to the parking spot to go home, but my car was no longer where I had parked this morning, so I called a taxi to take me to my house. As soon as I arrived at the entrance of my house, I saw two cars parked at the door and the house light was on. That's all I needed, first my friends don't remember me and now they're robbing my house! I was about to call the police when I noticed that a name was written on the mailbox, Souza.

The world had forgotten that I exist! How is it possible that so many people forget about one person in just three hours?! In just three hours I had lost my job, my house, my friends and worse, I had lost my life! The next boarding house was fifteen minutes away, so I walked slowly as I thought about what was happening to me. But without realizing it, I found myself at the door of the West's house.

- Are you lost? - someone asked behind me and as soon as I turned around I saw that it was Barry. - Ah, you again!

- I know this is not going to make any sense to you and that you are highly likely to think I am crazy, but Barry, you have to remember me. Please remember me! I need you more than ever!

- Sorry but I don't remember you .- Barry said putting his hand on my shoulder, in order to comfort me, but at this moment my tears came out shamelessly in front of him.

Even though it took me a lot to realize that my friends and co-workers didn't remember me and that my house was no longer my home, seeing that Barry didn't remember me was a thousand times worse. It was as if several knives were being stuck in my heart, over and over and over again.

- Sorry, madam, but tomorrow I have to wake up very early, so I'm going to rest. I hope tomorrow is a better day. - Barry said turning his back.

- I doubt it!- I exclaimed and started my walk to the pension again.

"Caitlin?" someone asked behind me.
