Hide and Seek

"Hey son, you are invited again in FEU. Aattend ka na sa panahong ito?" bungad ni Papa sa akin.

Bumuntonghininga ako. "Kaya mo na 'yan, Papa."

"It has your name. Don't drag me into this now." halakhak niya.

Mainip kong tiningnan ang invitation para sa seminar ng Engineering Department. Unang araw ng pasukan pa lang ngunit may seminar na sila agad.

"Wala ka namang ginagawa sa linggong ito. Puntahan mo na. Lorenzo asked me for this favor,"

I sighed sharply. "Fine. I'll go."

Ngumiti siya at binaba ang invitation letter sa aking lamesa.

Why do I need to attend this seminar? I am not the only Engineer in the city. Isa pa sa ayaw kong pumunta dahil sa daming estudyante.

"Fidai, nag-aya sila Seth ng outing sa Lunes. Game ka?" si Leyox.

Nasa lower deck balcony kami ng mansion nagpapasya. I am staring at the view. Below this is the clean river, then the forest and on the far horizon is the big city. Napainom ako ng beer pagkatapos umiling sa kanya.

"May aattendan akong seminar." sabi ko.

"You catch up after the seminar then." aniya. "Saan sila Leese? Kanila pa ako naghihintay sa kanila."

"Call Martian. He might have an idea."

"Is he seriously crushing with that teenager? Heart Martin?"

I smirked. "You can't even imagine."

Nagtawanan kami ni Leyox. My cousins and my twin brother is whipped by some teens and that's probably what's keeping them very busy.

"Oh, they're here." nakangisi niyang sabi.

Umupo si Howl sa aking tabi samantalang nasa kabilang couch at bean bag ang dalawa. They all seems not in the mood. I smirked evilly.

"Good vibes only tayo ngayon." I chuckled.

Marahas na inabot ni Howl ang isang bote ng beer at ininom agad. Cassius scoffed and kept looking at this phone.

"Shut up, Fidai. May oras ka rin," my twin brother said.

"I never fall in love." I arrogantly said.

He smirked. "We'll see about that."

Oh, come on. I never seen a beautiful, kind hearted and sweet girl. Damn! I don't want to love anyone cuz I'll get hurt after.

I parked the car in a VIP lane in FEU. Katulad ng aking inaasahan, marami ngang estudyante. A flock of teachers is waiting for me. Bumaba ako sa sasakyan at sinalubong naman nila ako ng magalang na bati.

"Good morning, Engineer. It's a great privileged to have you with us today,"

"Good morning." I formally greeted back.

"Oh! Here he is. Engineer Fidai Figueroa," it's Mr. Lorenzo Tan.

"Sir,"

Nakipagkamayan ako sa kanila. Apat silang nandito kasama ko. Sa lobby na hindi maraming estudyante kami dumadaan. They oriented me about the seminar. It's gonna be happening for the whole morning.
