Lily's P.O.V.
I sigh as I look around the empty parking lot. Only a few cars remained, most belonged to school teachers and the soccer players who had to stay for a longer practice thanks to the prank they'd pulled on the Women's soccer team.
"Where the fuck is he?" I ask myself as I glance at my phone. He was now over thirty minutes late, my dumb ass brother had ditched me here. With a sigh I dial my brother again and get the same result.
"Hey this is Logan, can't answer right now but I'll call you back... if I want to. Bye." I groan as the phone beeps. He was supposed to be pick me up from Orchestra recital, which he hadn't even showed up to, but Logan being the wonderful brother he was, had forget me here... again. I honestly don't know why I still trusted him. He'd left me so many times and I still trusted him enough to ask him for a ride.
I remember asking him for a ride, he glanced up at me with big wide eyes and nodded.
"Okay." He says mouth full of food.
"You won't forget?" I ask as he looks shocked and hurt.
"When have I ever-" He starts with a hand over his chest.
"Save it, three O'clock." I state as he nods.
"Three O'clock, got it." He says as I nod and grab my things.
"Hey bro, it's me, Lily and guess what? I'm still waiting for you in the parking lot and it's now three forty one. Great way to start off our spring break, really love having you back." I state before hanging up. For some odd reason, my brothers college spring break lined up with mine, and we were supposed to hang out. Seems like those plans went down the drain.
Our parents, being the great parents they are, saw Logan's return as a free pass to take an early anniversary trip to Cancun. Beautiful really, leaving their sixteen year old sophmore daughter in the care of the nineteen year old college freshmen who barely made food for himself, ate like a pig and forgot me at school by myself. Great choice mom and dad, really fucking great.
I glance around the parking lot again before calling Logan's cell phone once more.
"Hey this is-" I hang up before his message finishes and sigh before throwing my bag over my shoulder and picking up my violin case.
"Lily?" A voice calls out. I turn around and face Ben. I smile slightly as he walks towards me.
"What are you doing here shorty?" He asks as he hugs me. I laugh and sigh.
"Waiting for Logan." I state as he chuckles, blue eyes shining brightly.
"Again?" He asks as I nod.
"I thought that you'd learn by now." He states as I shrug.
"Guess I'm as much of an idiot as he is." I mutter as he chuckles. I look down at his soccer gear and laugh lightly.
"So what exactly did you guys do to the women's soccer team?" I ask him as he smiles sheepishly.
"I assure you that the paint in the locker room will be there until you graduate." He states happily as I laugh.
"I'm looking forward to seeing it after spring break." I muse as he smiles and moves his bag higher up his shoulder.
"You need a ride?" He asks me with an eyebrow raised.
"Would you?" I ask as he nods and takes my violin case. I smile gratefully at him and follow after him to his car.
As I open the passenger door to the car I hear a loud beep from behind me. I turn around expecting to find my brother but instead find a shiny black SUV. My brows furrow as I try and figure out who it is though the guessing game is cut short when the door opens and a familiar face comes out.
