Logan's P.O.V.
Chapter 2
"I'll make sure to drop by." Lily states with as he lips curl up slightly, the closest thing to a real smile I've gotten from her in years.
I watch as she turns away from me and starts to walk to the dorm building. I stare after her thinking about how much she's grown. She wasn't my little sister anymore, she had stopped being my little sister the moment she had found out about the bet.
Her face had changed, slimming out and outlining her high cheekbones that she had inherited from my mom. Her eyes had changed from blue to gray, making her look older, and colder in a way. I sigh and turn around and start heading to my car.
I live off campus with Hunter, a decision that pissed Lily off since the beginning. I knew our relationship had changed from the moment she had ignored my calls three times in a row.
She'd always leave class to answer my calls, never letting the phone call go unanswered more then once. Though to this day the words she said to me the day she came back still sting.
"Don't call me that and let me get one thing through your head Logan. I will never forgive you for this. From this moment forward our relationship will never be the same and the only person you can blame for it is your stupid friend and yourself. Things will never be the same." She said lowly before rushing up the stairs.
Her words were like a slap to the face, they stung more then I thought they would.
"Lily!" I yell running after her. The door slams close just as I make it to her door. I groan and knock on the door.
"Lil open up." I groan as she stays quiet ignoring me. I sigh and lean against the door, sliding to the floor as I do. I pull out my phone and call Hunter while trying to rub the sleep out of my eyes.
"She's back." I inform him. He sighs in relief before talking.
"Is she hurt?" He asks in concern, a rare emotion for Hunter.
"Besides being extremely emotionally hurt, nope." I mutter lowly as I hear him sigh.
"I lost her man, she looks at me like she hates me and she won't even talk to me." I state and he stays quiet. I glance at the closed door before sighing lowly.
"I lost my sister."
Lily never really talked to me much after that, just a few hi's, and a few how are you's, but other then that we rarely talk. In a short ten minutes I arrive at my shared apartment. Opening the door, the only sound that could be heard was the loud television and the few barks coming from Hunter's dog.
"Shut up Mutt." I grumble lowly.
"Don't call my dog that." Hunter mutters causing me to roll my eyes.
"That's it's name." I remind him as he scoffs.
"Like you didn't mean it the other way." Hunter mutters as I sit down on the sofa next to his.
"Where were you?" He asks me with a raised brow as I sigh.
"Campus." I tell him as his brows furrow in confusion.
"Why? Classes don't start until Monday, why be there when you don't have to be?" Hunter asks and I sigh.
"Lily moved in to the dorms today." I inform him. He sits up straight and stares at me in shock.
"Lily's here?" He asks sounding distant. I nod as his brows scrunched together.
"How is she?" He asks and I shrug.
