Lily's P.O.V.

Chapter 25.

The car is awkwardly silent as we drive down the road. The radio played quietly as I stared out the window, watching tree's pass us by. My mom had forced me to go along with Hunter to a nearby market. I had tried arguing back but it was no use with my mother, she was stubborn.

"You're quiet." Hunter mutters causing my eyes to snap his way.

"Really? I hadn't noticed." I muse as he chuckles lowly before his eyes snap my way.

"You can talk to me you know." He states as I laugh slightly.

"Yeah, about what?" I ask him as he smirks, his eyes back on the road.

"How about that kiss?" He asks as I glare at him.

"You kissed me." I snap as he laughs.

"You kissed back." He reminds me as my jaw clenches knowing he was right. He sighs before he glances at me.

"Why don't you admit you're attracted to me?" He asks as I roll my eyes.

"Because I'm not." I muse as he chuckles once more.

"You're in denial." He states as I laugh.

"Please, why would I be attracted to you?" I ask.

"Why wouldn't you?" I scoff and look back out the window staying silent as we arrive at the market. I exact the car and pull the big jacket closer to me, it still smelt a bit like Ben's cologne. Hunter glances at me quickly as we walk inside before pulling out a grocery list my mom had gave him.

"She gave you an actual list?" I ask as he roll his eyes.

"Come on, let's get these things so we can head back, it'll get dark soon." Hunter states as I nod and follow him around the almost empty market. It didn't take long to get all the things on the list, she only had about ten things on the list. We loaded the car quickly as small snowflakes started to fall from the sky.

"Let's go." Hunter mutters while closing the trunk of the car. I get in the passengers side and quickly pull on my seatbelt as Hunter starts to car up and cranks up the heat. I bring my hands up towards the vents trying to warm up as Hunter starts to drive.

The sky starts to darken as more snow falls from the sky while I lean my head on the glass window and close my eyes. The peaceful sleep doesn't last, the car suddenly schreeches and lurches forward as my eyes snap open. My hand grips the door handle as the car spins before crashing in to a tree.

"Shit." Hunter curses as I slowly blink, my vision hazy.

"Lily! Shit babe are you okay?" Hunter asks from beside me as a hand cups my face before I'm staring in to his gray eyes.

"I'm fine." I mutter as his eyes scan my face. His hand moves towards my eyebrow and when he presses his fingers against it I hiss in pain and pull back while he sighs. His lips was burst and he had a slight bruise on his jaw but looked relatively fine, the airbags most of doen their job.

He exits the car quickly and is soon pulling my door open, leaning over me and pressing on the button to release the seatbelt. He curse when it doesn't release and keeps clicking it as I laugh slightly.

"It won't release, they lock in after accidents." I state as he sighs and looks around.

"How do I get you out?" He asks as I open the glove compartment knowing my father usually kept garden scissors in there. Hunter takes them and moves the clip the belt before helping me out of the car.
