Chapter 18: Moving.

Lily's P.O.V
Chapter 18.

"So why are you moving?" Ben asks casually as he leans against the island in my now empty dorm room.

"Because the new place is cheaper, close to school and fortunately my brother nor Hunter know where I'm going. " I state while I tape up one of the few remaining boxes we had left. Alexis and Mike had left to take a load of boxes to the house.

"Mhm, so you're moving to avoid Hunter." Ben states with a brow raised as I shake my head.

"I'm trying to save money." I mumble as he rolls his eyes.

"Your also moving away from the short walk to me." Ben mutters as I laugh.

"I can always come over when you need." I state while standing up.

"You mean whenever you need." Ben states as I flick him off. He chuckles as I bend down to grab the box before his warm hand lands on my waist.

"I got it, your car unlocked?" He asks as he lifts the box. I shake my head and stuff the keys in to his pocket.

"I'm right behind you." I state as he nods and leaves the dorm, carrying the heavy box of pots and pans with him. I grab a box of clothes and follow him. When I reach the car Ben was leaning against the car waiting for me.

"How many more boxes Lil?" He asks while taking the box from me.

"Four." I answer as he nods. We finish loading my car before locking the dorm room and heading to the office to give them the keys.

"We should go, it's your only day to unpack." Ben states as we head to the car.

It was Sunday the only day I had no work or classes, so Alexis, Mike and I took it to our advantage. For a whole week we packed, making sure we had everything in boxes. Yesterday we spent the day moving furnished, with help from Ben and a few of his fellow soccer players and today we were moving all the boxes.

"A ten minute drive to get to you, I don't know Lil, it's a stretch." Ben jokes as he drives. I roll my eyes as he laughs before we lapse in to silence until we reach the small house.

It was a cute house, an upgraded kitchen that opened to a large living room, a guest bathroom and a master bedroom downstairs, where Mike and Alexis would sleep, and a extra room which Mike insisted we turn into a movie/game room instead of a guest room.  Upstairs was a loft, with a large bedroom and bathroom which I had claimed as mine, in an effort to give the couple some privacy.

"There you are, I was wondering what took so long?" Alexis asks as I roll my eyes and set a box down.

"One of the boxes ripped open dropping all the pots and pans, I had to fix it." I state as Ben walks in with two more boxes.

"Kitchen." Alexis mutters pointing to the kitchen.

"Aye aye captain." Ben mumbles glancing my way quickly. I roll my eyes and smack Alexis's shoulder.

"Can you at least try being nice?" I ask her before heading back to my car with her on tow.

"Not with him." She mutters as I drop a box into her arms. She grunts as I smirk while she rolls her eyes and heads inside.

"Hand me one." Mike states as he heads to me. I put one in his hands before picking up the last one, using the box in my hands to close the car trunk.

Heading inside I set the box down close to the restroom knowing it was the box with all the bathroom decor and cleaning supplies. I head to the kitchen and find Ben unpacking the pots and pans while Mike puts away dishes.

"Where's Alexis?" I ask before joining Ben.

"Stealing all my closet space."Mike mumbles lowly as I laugh.

"You should go stop her before she kicks you into the movie room." I state as he nods before leaving. I take over for him, putting away all the plates and cups as Ben keeps unpacking his box.

"Have you talked to Logan?" Ben asks after a few seconds. I shake my head before sighing.

"We're both to stubborn, it won't happen anytime soon." I mumble as Ben also sighs.

"Just talk to him Lily, I know how he is but he cares about you and he's only trying to protect you." Ben states as I groan.

"I know but he just pissed me off, he went out with her Ben! Even after he knew how much that bet hurt me, he didn't care, he didn't care enough to ignore his prize, he didn't care enough to throw away her number, he didn't care enough to skip out on the date or push her away. God damnit Ben he never fucking cared." I yell the anger finally releasing, and it was then that I noticed the tears ruining down my face. Ben pulls me in to his chest as I cry, for what I felt was the first time in years, I cry.

"Shh, you're okay." Ben mutters as I pull back from him.

"He's never cared Ben, and neither have my parents, do you know how horrible that feels, to have all your achievements ignored while you're brother was put on a pedestal." I mumble.

"They applaud him for everything he does yet frown when ever I bring up my music, then they ask why I'm not like my brother. It's hard to forgive my brother when all my life I've been forgiving him for all the crap he and my parents have gaven me." I state before sighing and glancing down at the floor.

"Hey, Lil, it doesn't matter if they don't care because I do, and I'll always be there for you Lily."  Ben says as I glance up at him. He pulls me into his chest as I wrap around his waist, hiding my face in his chest.

"Thank you." I mumble as he chuckles, chest vibrating as I stay still.

"Did you make my best friend cry?" Alexis asks causing me to pull away and wipe a tear.

"No he did not, don't go throwing punches." I mumble as Mike laughs causing his girlfriend to glare at him.

"Anyways I'm starving, pizza ok?" Mike asks as we all nod. Mike nods while pulling his phone out as I grab the two empty boxes and throw them into the garage with the rest of the empty boxes.

My phone vibrates as I enter the house causing me to pull my phone out.

"Logan's looking for you. Called me and asked for you."

It was a message from Chase who took a week off of school to go visit his sister. I groan causing everyone to glance at me.

"What's wrong?" Ben asks.

"My brothers looking for me." I mutter.

"You should talk to him." Alexis mumbles softly as I sigh.

"I'll stop by later, I still have to unpack and eat." I state as I try and think about what Logan could possibly want with me. He was pretty mad at me the last time I spoke to him.
