Lily's P.O.V.
Chapter 4.
"You got arrested again?" I ask as I walk through the living room, searching for my pair of vans.
"Yeah, though when I was there I met this girl." He says as I groan.
"Oh God, another one of you conquest?" I ask in disgust. My cousin, like my brother, was a well known player.
"No, she's different. I can't get her off of my mind and it's the fucking second week of school. I just met her and she won't leave my head." Levi says as I laugh and sit on the couch and grab my shoes.
"You like her." I state as I tie up my shoes.
"I guess, it's just complicated Lily." He mumbles as I sigh.
"Then un-complicate things." I muse.
"I kinda slept with the dance captain and she turned it in to a relationship somehow." He mutters as I laugh and tie my shoes.
"Well nice going genius, you fucked up." I state as he groans.
"Thank for reminding me Lily." He states sarcastically as I smile.
"I have to go Levi, I'll call you later." I say as he sighs.
"Bye Lil." He says before the line gets cut off. Levi was my younger cousin, by a few days, he unfortunately was born a day after the school year cut off. Holding him back a school year, making him one of the oldest of the class while I was stuck being the youngest of my class. He was currently a senior in high school, having started school two weeks ago, while I had just begun.
With a groan I stand up and grab my bag. I smile and quickly leave a note to Alexis telling her where I was headed. I quickly head to the bookstore after grabbing an apple from the bookstore.
When I get there I find Chase standing over the counter, glancing down at some papers. He looks up and smiles before he grabs something and drops a large book on the table, a smirk on his face.
"Here you go, as promised." He says as I smile.
"So you work here year round?" I ask him as he shakes his head.
"Only the first few weeks, after that I go down and work at the library, by the fifth week most students have already bought their books." He says as I nod.
"Alright let's get to work, half of the book shipment got in today, so we have to restock." Chase says, his accent once again popping out slightly.
"Sounds good to me." I mumble as he nods and motions me to follow him. He heads to a back room and hands me a box before grabbing one. He opens the boxes with a pocket knife before pulling out stacks of books from different authors.
"Basically you follow the Dewey Decimal Program, going by the authors' last name." He says as I nods. He hands me a two stacks before smiling.
"I'll see you back here when you're done." He states as I nod. Looking at the first stack my eyes automatically find the author's last name printed along the bottom of the book, under the name.
"Sam Watkins." I muse before heading off towards the W section of the bookstore. Dropping the stack of books on the floor, my eyes wander over the various book titles and the authors.
"Waller, Wandrick, Wapmen, Watkins." I mumble before ripping the clear plastic off of the book stack and carefully sliding each book on to the shelf. When I finished I looked down at the second stack.
"Rathus." I mutter before picking up the stack and heading down to the R's which where only a few shelves away from where I was. Finding there designated area, I put them in place neatly before smiling. Heading back to the box full of boxes, I frown when I find that a lot of the stacks where already gone. I look up just as Chase emerges from the book section.
