Chapter 24: Road Trip.

Lily's P.O.V.

Chapter 24.

The Winter break came a lot faster then I wanted it to. Before I knew it my last class was over and I was heading back to the house with Alexis.

"Ready for the trip?" She asks me as she drives. I scoff lowly causing her to chuckle.

"I'll take that as a no." She mumbles as I sigh.

"Two weeks with my family? Come on Alexis you've met them, not to mention the fact that I'll be stuck in a car with my brother and Hunter for six freaking hours." I muse. She rolls her eyes and glances my way.

"Everything will be fine Lil." She states as I sigh.

"Well I can hope." I mumble as I glance out the window. Hunter pops in to my head, like he had been doing the last week. I think about our kiss in the car, about the way his lips felt against mine, though I quickly shake the thoughts away. Alexis suddenly chuckles causing me to turn her way.

"This is going to be an interesting trip." She states causing me to roll my eyes.

Hours later I was handing my bag to Hunter, avoiding his gaze as he grabbed my suitcase and stuffed it in the back of the large SUV.

"Lil, the keys?" Ben asks causing me to turn his way before throwing the keys at him.

"Make sure you lock the garage door." I state, he nods before walking away, as Alexis hands me her bag which I quickly hand to Hunter once again ignoring his gaze.

"Come on guys lets go!" Logan shouts our way. Hunter closes the trunk as Alexis and I head to get inside the car. Alexis joins her boyfriend in the back seat while Ben takes a seat next to me.

I can see Hunter glance back my way as he puts on his seat belt just as my phone vibrates, a message from Levi asking me how the car ride was going. I rolled my eyes as I sent out a reply, letting him know we had just left and I was already dreading it.

"Levi?" Ben asks me lowly. I nod and glances his way.

"He's making sure I haven't killed anyone yet." I muse causing him to crack a smile.

"Wouldn't want that would we." He mutters as I laugh slightly before replying to his latest message.

The car was filled with silence, an awkward silence as I laid my head on the window and looked outside. It seemed like seconds later that someone was shaking my shoulder. I open my eyes quickly and jump slightly when Ben chuckles.

"Come on pit stop, you should get something." He states. I nod and smile as I follow him out of the car, the sun was starting to set and the cold air was picking up finally reminding us that it was winter.

"Here." Ben mutters handing me his jacket. I take it quickly and thank him as he opens the door to the gas station store.

"Twix?" I ask him as I head towards the candy section.

"Yeah, you want a Dr. Pepper or Arizona?" He asks as he head to the fridges.

"Arizona." I state as my eyes scan the candy bars. I grab the twix bar before grabbing a snickers, kit kat and reese's.

"Quite a handful." I jump and almost drop the snickers bar which Hunter quickly catches before smirking as he held out the candy bar. I take it from his hands and head down the aisle to the next one and grab a bag of sour gummy worms.

"Didn't think you'd ignore me the whole trip." Hunter mutters lowly.

"What you'd expect me to run in to your arms after you kissed me?" I ask him softly as he smirks.
