The next morning at Destiny Islands, Sora and Hikari arrived to meet up with Riku.
"Hey, Sora, Hikari. Our raft still needs a name," Riku told them. "Let's see... How about Highwind? What would you two call it?"
"Me? Well...hm... Excalibur!" Sora shouted.
"Meh," Hikari said. "How about Sea Pony?"
Riku thinks about it and wanted to race against Sora and Hikari. "Hey, how about..."
"The usual?" Sora and Hikari said at the same time.
"Let's do it!" Riku nodded.
Kairi arrived and heard everything. "You guys at it again? All right, I'll be the judge. The usual rules apply. Take any route you want... First one to tag that tree and make it back here wins."
Sora smirked. "If I win, I'm captain! And if either of you win..."
"I get to share the paopu with Kairi," Riku finished as Sora started to look surprised. "Deal? The winner gets to share a paopu with Kairi."
"Well... if I win, boys, I still get to keep the name of the raft: Sea Pony," Hikari said. "But on the bright side, if Sora loses, he gets to tell Kairi how he feels."
Riku smirked at Sora. "Oh right... I mean... Sora likes Kairi," he said as he and Hikari makes kissing noises to annoy Sora.
Sora started to blush and glares at Riku and Hikari. "Wha... Wait a minute..."
Kairi smiled and starts the race. "Okay! On my count: 3! 2! 1! Go!"
The three raced across the bridge which collapsed a bit, causing Sora and Riku to fall into the water. Hikari was winning so she touched the star on the tree and ran back to Kairi while Sora and Riku catches up to them.
"Ha! In your face, losers!" Hikari said, pointing to Sora and Riku.
"We lose to a girl," Sora frowned.
"Man, lighten up," Riku smiled at Sora. "It's just a name, after all. And since you lose, you get to tell Kairi how you feel."
Sora blushed and glared at Riku who's snickering.
A little later... Kairi told Sora and Hikari that they needed food for the raft trip. "Today we collect provisions for our trip! Let's see. Sora, Hikari, you're looking for... One Seagull Egg, Three Mushrooms, Two Coconuts, Three Fish, and fill this up with Drinking Water. But not from the ocean!"
"Oh heck no," Hikari said. "That would be... gross."
"Yeah," Sora agreed. "Well... let's go find those stuff."
As Sora and Hikari are collecting food and drinks for the trip, they bumped into Tidus and Wakka. Then... they also bumped into Selphie on the dock and spoke to them. "Hey, Sora, Hikari. Have you two heard about the legendary power of the paopu fruit?"
Hikari nodded as she looked at the paopu tree filled with paopu fruits. "Well... yeah."
Sora nodded. "Oh yeah. Well... tell me more."
"They say if you share it with someone you really care for, it binds you together forever and ever through eternity! It's so romantic. I gotta try it sometime," Selphie said.
Soon after their interactions, Sora and Hikari arrived at a cave called the Secret Place to collect one more item. Then, they looked at the cave drawing of Sora and Kairi. Back when they were 5 year olds, Sora and Kairi did some cave drawings. Those were some good times for the two.
"Good times, huh, Sora," Hikari smiled.
Sora smiled back as he added the finishing touches of the drawing. "Yep."
